I'm not. The OS you chose is independent from raw computational performance. This is about you saying that phone has enough power to run win 7 and do something useful at the same time. ARM has only just reached Atom level performance, which is capable of running windows 7 but struggles to justify it over an OS with generic applications, such as basic chromeOS/Linux installs.

Your CPU is massively more powerful than your phones, that's my main point. The average speedup of a quad core is well under 200%, they are only really useful for batch jobs. I would think you memory bandwidth is higher as well.

Sure you can multitask and get some application a little faster but actually using all those 4 cores at once is pretty rear on a desktop/cellphone. Quad cores on phones is a marketing gimmick or a niche area.

Restart Manager is and installer api for restarting services while updating files to prevent restarting the whole OS. Linux deb/rpm installers can just call syscontrol and restart the service using the same call as the user.

I don't think Linux has a nice "clicky" interface to any of these things but to suggest that it does not have solid equivalents to the first 3 (the rest appear to assume Linux has the same problems as Windows).
Group polices are probably difficult to fully replicate on Linux but its due to flaws in windows that it even needs a restart manager. Maybe SSV is more permission friendly than LVM also.
You are just another windows user who assumes that a proper OS should function the same Windows. There are better lists than this for things Linux is missing on the desktop but the one is the lack of third party applications.

Unless you have an atom netbook ARM is just not there yet. Sure the processor might be close but everything else is still has much lower specs.

I was talking about the average bands (like i expect the poster is). If they work really hard and put out a good single or concert and people buy their CDs. This model is shot to pieces as people realize that there music is not special and move onto something else or just add 1 song from the album to their play-list (it may stay there for a while but it's a slow return on investment).

People who have a fixed number of songs that they will ever want to listen don't need, want or care about streaming services. They will not be racking up repeat plays from albums on one.

Not everyone listens to their CDs 100s of times.
I don't think i have have even come close for any CD, i might make it to 20 - 40 for a good album. Think how long 4500 min (100 plays of the album with 3min tracks) is if you believe that is the norm. No average artist will be listened to the required amount to achieve the breakeven price.

Streaming eliminates the required investment to listen to something else so unless you get advertised on the front page and your whole album is worth listening to you wont anywhere near the same number of plays as a CD does.

They are getting strong enough not to low fruit and fall to a mass hash cracking but someone only has to observe you typing that in from a distance once, observe your fingers not move, and will rearrange word list to favor small character spaces.

PS when you put this method on the internet you can no longer use it unless you never reuse you user-name.

Just the one ever, your servers (fingerprint i think its called, the one you get the unknown host warnings for). That only if you want to do syncing yourself though.

What are you on about, you would sync it over an ssh/ssl direct connection and make sure the (cert) hash matches so you know you connected to the right device. Just get them on the same subnet and click sync on both devices (with a password you remember the first time). If you trust a third party it's a non issue to begin with.

If there is any every push to remove the need for remembering passwords there will have software to handle these problems. I am trying not to say how to do it because someone will create a system that the general public can make scene of and it will probably be better anyway.

Once you get over the need to have a password you can do far more tricky things.
Ideally each device would have its own key so it got compromised you could just revoke the key.

Understand that and reread my post (the authentication does not rely on stored hashes on the server). I am not saying that there is anything wrong with keepass's software.

Keepass can't fix this, its not their problem (though password manager evangelists are going to hold back changing anything). This is about if your computer is going to remember something for you a password is terrible compared to some alternatives.
