You brought up an interested point. Do you think any company is willing to bleed money just to get more market share? How much is spent in marketing the product and can any of that be relocated to supporting selling at a loss? Would the benefits of (potential) increased market share outweigh the cost of lower priced products?

As long as he doesn't have to bolt it down or changes something with the appearance of the house, most landlords wouldn't really complain too much. If they get their cut of the power, it's a sure thing they'll not only green light it but shoot down any complaints of neighbors concerning radiation or other minor complaints.

Radiation from a nuclear reactor is a minor complaint?

I disagree with your disagreement! But not completely. There should be an option (keyword: option) to only allow sound from the visible tab. You most likely won't use it but CmdrTaco and I will.

However, I fully support your idea of a small speaker icon on the tab itself. Someone should write that up immediately! Maybe I will...
