Good Point. But those turrets are not a human rights issue. Missles and mortars don't have human rights. I suppose they could shoot down the occasional plane that attempt to dive bomb a carrier. I also suppose they could be repurposed to shoot at people. But I think that would kill more friendly troops than enemy.

The drones America uses are piloted by humans. The other robot in use by the military is the one that disables bombs. It also is remote controlled by a human. I don't think the military has any non piloted robots deployed in combat. Even a turret would be too dangerous. An automated turret could kill our own troops. Closest thing we have is landmines.

I would think Sony would include an optical drive because they helped invent CDs, DVDs, and Blue Ray disks. I can see them inventing new DRM for disks. But I don't see them making that DRM a PS3 exclusive.

In order for Google to fit that deffinition they would have to trade in apps. They don't ever buy apps from developers so no trade is occuring. They would likely argue that they don't sell apps either. However they label the the marketplace as labeled "Google Play Store" on peoples phones. The "Google Play Store" also has "Accept and buy" buttons and it. Developers are labled as "Developers" not as "Sellers".

No, in your drive to work analogy the progress bar going backwards is a detour. Because of the detour the distance has increased. I think the bar going backwords tells the users information. It tells the user that the install is not going as planned.

Nope. Publishers were still setting wholesalse prices in the distributor model. When Amazon set price at $9.99 for a book with a $20 suggested retail price the publisher was making $9.99 on the book. Under agency model they set the prices at $15 and got to keep 2/3s. So they made $9.99 per book. Publishers made more money per book in the distributtor model because with lower prices there were more sales. But driving sales to digital would kill the whole point of having a publisher. Publishers only provide benifit to authors in the print world. They are dinosours and they know it. So they intentionally raised prices to slow digital down. And they used an agreement that made sure other publishers did the same.

Bookstores went out of buisness under Apples agency model not under Amazons. Agency model went into effect in 2010 Borders went out of buisness in 2011.

I don't understand the above statement. Obama is the democratically elected comander in chief. This memo that leaked was a memo to Congress. Congress is still democratically elected. Assasinating terrorists American or otherwise is hugely popular in the United States. Obama would not have been elected if he was against it. There is nothing paticullarly communist or capitalist about assasination either.
