Many people climb Mt Fuji (3,800m) during the warm season. For those who think the top of the mountain is a deserted place: on the top of Mr Fuji you find vending machines and restaurants... so I'm just surprised 4G was not available until now..

Maybe that'll encourage other CEO/CFO... to hire competent developers at the right (accurate/higher) salary. Due to the apparent easiness of the www languages (html, css,js,php) many people coming from various horizons proclaim themselves "developer", then offering their "talent" at a lower price.

So it seems that the Commission lawyers were not competent enough to elaborate a "proper reasoning". If the case happens in another country (or if there is a possible further appeal in Ireland), lawyers have now a good idea at what they have to slog away.

Nope. The world is not against him. The world is against the possible [economic] retaliation from the US. That's kind of funny: during the cold war, a time people were worrying about possible armed conflicts, Snowden would have been granted asylum from many countries, including USSR. Nowadays, it seems the economic threat has more impact than nukes.

Funny drawing. But it seems the problem here is the interpretation of the Voyager's data. Not the probes that still do a magnificent job. I've always been fascinated how the Voyagers did/do a great job since 1977. Starting by providing really amazing pictures of our "external planets", following a smart path (that could have been even more awesome if budget wouldn't have been reduced) now they're still able to work and communicate successfully with Earth, from a 120+ AU distance, thanks to a 1977 technology.

Warning systems work well for areas far away from the epicenter. The system works based on the principle that seismic waves are far slower than light - ie the information gathered at the epicenter is broadcasted via a network (Internet) to surrounding areas. Destructive seismic waves speed is around 0.5~3 miles per second. The power of the waves decreases with distance. So if the epicenter is right under your feet - the most destructive place it can be - you have zero second notice...
