A police state is a state policed. We all live in one or more. Of course they'll do all they can to better police their state. It's their job, and we pay and vote for them to do it. Corporations license new technologies to them to do it better. Maybe if all citizens just aspired to be "officers" of the institution they'd be happier. Maybe...
