New Gadget Tells You When To Take a Break 50

Kilrah_il writes "An Israeli company developed a gadget that measures your blood pressure and tells you when you are stressed and need to take a break from your computer. 'The user grasps two sensors shaped like computer mouses to measure the electric activity of the heart in minute detail. Software then combines the measurements with prerecorded personal details such as age and sex to calculate various indicators for stress and mood.' Looks like a must-have accessory for Slashdotters everywhere."

Sadly, today was also the day that HP apparently withdrew the product to correct reported manufacturing defects. For calculator geeks, note that it has a big prominent ENTER button and reportedly features good tactile feedback. No news about the recall on HP's website..."

wouterteepe writes: Google's preference cookies used to last a dazzling 31 years. In a move to please privacy advocacies, they have decided to reduce this to only 2 year. To let your cookie expire, you do have to keep away from google for only 2 years... Of course, all the other issues about Google and privacy are unaffected by this.
