Comment Dairy farms have been doing this for years. (Score 1) 432

The dairy farm behind my house, it's about an 7 iron shot to one of the barns, has been doing this for years. When my children were young, they are 22 and 18 now, the would come back with bags of pez candy. They would tell me stories of the 'Pez Mountain' at the farm. I didn't really believe it until I saw it for myself. A 10 foot tall pile of Pez. They would mix it in with the feed. They would also purchase day old bread, doughnuts, etc. and also mix it with the fee.

I interviewed with a consulting company. After 3 interviews, tech exam, etc. the final thing they wanted me to do was go to one of their client's sites and do something. (Don't remember exactly what now.) I respectfully declined to go to one of their customers. That was the last I heard from that company.

It was on a project called 'Software Robots' in there Applied AI department. Not as grand as it sounds. For part of my assignment I worked in a clean room with a computer, pad of paper, & pen. Nothing else was allowed in. I helped convert their film layer part formulas from one system to another. I always thought it was funny that a lowly consultant had the 'keys to the castle'. Of course everything was encrypted and I really didn't understand what I was reading. Almost everyone I worked with had 'Dr.' in their title. They were also some of the funniest people I ever worked with in my 27 years in the field. I was at Kodak Park and I still remember how funny it was to see people walking around with gun cases going to the on site rifle range. Sad day.

You'd think the reason this took so long was because they had to fabricate a thermometer large enough, but in fact the real hold up was convincing a grad student to stick that thermometer up the dinosaur's ass.
