Comment Re:Why would that reassume me? (Score 2) 113

It shouldn't be that hard to replace the floppydrive with a memorycard reader, as there are enough of those converters available to use a memorycard reader on a connector for the floppydrive. There is also ofcourse the "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" reason, replacing a perfectly good working system with a new system would probably cost a couple of million, even though replacing the actual controlhardware would be a couple of bucks.

Comment How about starting with the real culprits (Score 1, Insightful) 76

Those bog oil companies are on the number 10 list of pushing co2 into the air during production, so why not first put all the efforts into reducing their footprint and have them invest much more of their profits into cleaning themselves up. There are a lot if ways to clean up their production process and still keep putting out the product they have. It's ridiculous they are the biggest polluters and also have one of the largest profits in the world. Only possible because we let them have their profits and keep letting them pollute.

Comment Nice to have it on the shelf but.. (Score 1) 110

It's nice to have it on the shelf, but once your player breaks you'll need a new one, and that might prove difficult in the near future. Ripping the disc to hdd is another solution, but requires a lot of storage if you a have a lot of discs, unless you're gonna compress it and then you're back at streaming levels. Also physical discs cost physical space, as an owner of thousands of discs I can attest that it requires a lot of space. Luckily I have a decent sized home, but if I where in a mere apartment I would not be able to store them all, out of sight in a separate room.

Comment Re: CyberTruck need not apply (Score 1) 23

I guess you fab a lot with Elon Musk on your mind. Why even bring him up, especially since cybertruck isn't even remotely useful on the moon. Any vehicle for the moon needs to be practical for astronauts in their bulky suits, and no 'regular' designed SUV/truck comes even close for that. So it's only you who would bring Musk's cybertruck up. But I wouldn't be surprised if Musk did have a design for a vehicle for the moon. But then again, I've seen multiple Sci-fi movies, like Last days on Mars, which have great designs for vehicles that could be used on the moon.

Comment Stop removing own content (Score 1, Redundant) 38

Maybe they should also stop removing its own content, yeah, a series like Willow didn't hit a certain expected target, but why remove so the only way to watch it is through illegal downloads. I can't imagine how they can recoup money by not showing it, other then some deal where they have to pay indefinitely to people for every viewing. Also, it wasn't that bad, it just wasn't what people expected, too woke again. Maybe next time, try not to be so f-ing woke and concentrate on the story instead if trying to shoehorn in some social themes.

Comment Windows 11 biggest problem (Score 2) 121

The biggest problem with Windows 11 is that it doesn't run, by default, on 'older' hardware. You need at least a 2018+ processor to run it, even though CPU's from 2013 are more then capable of running it. They added the TPM 2.0 requirement, while it is not even using it as with some changes to the installer you can just run Windows 11 perfectly on those older chipsets. At home it's the only reason why I couldn't upgrade, even though my 2013 Intel Core i7 is still fast enough to run anything.

Comment Re: Gone with the wind (Score 1) 162

Why wouldn't they have "the chops"? If they can create songs I like in the studio, but are crap on stage, they are still excellent songwriters and make beautifull music. Live performance is highly overrated, it doesn't make the music better. A lot if people don't perform well under stress/public performance, but are still great creators.

Comment Re: The public has already spoken (Score 1) 162

Why doesn't modern pop have anything to do with music? You seem to overrate your preferred music style. Music is all about if the person listening to it likes it, nothing about if it was the life story of the person who wrote it. Anybody telling a certain type of music is real music, is just a snob who doesn't know anything about music. What do you call "real" music?
