From what I remember reading, in the coming 30 years, all Western countries as well as China will experience population reduction. But the African continent will experience population growth, Nigeria first. Maybe that's what Facebook is counting on, a long term bet?

Trains do take a long time, though. I just checked: I can fly from Amsterdam to Münich in 1.5 hours. Granted, one should add 2 hours to be on the airport, and another half hour to get to the airport. Total: 4 hours. You can also take the train to Münich. It'll take 9h39m, let's make that 10 hours total.

I've done that trip a number of times, but in the end, 10 hours was a bit too much for me.

What is nice about the Apple mouse, is the flick up/down, the horizontal scroll and the back gesture ("swipe back"). I've got a nice Logitech vertical mouse as well, but it doesn't have these gestures. I'd love to know mice that have these gestures and I bet OP was looking for something like that.

I'm not so sure about that. If you read the USB-C standard, it's full of Apple people. Somewhere in late 2016, I bought the 16" MacBook Pro, which had four USB-C/Thunderbolt ports, and nothing more (well, an audio jack). Back then, that was a novelty. I've got a 2018 iPad which also has USB-C.

They like the standard. They just don't seem to like it on their phones.

It's even worse in Europe, seeing as we have pretty hefty taxes on car sales, plus a 10% import tarif on cars from the US. Tesla's Model 3 sells for EUR. 49,980 (US$ 58,000) here in The Netherlands, and that's for the Standard Range Plus, without auto pilot.

Looks like it's hybrid in the weakest sense. I'm used to hybrid meaning: use gas after you've emptied the battery, OR use gas at higher speeds. This looks like some way to speed up the initial acceleration. Which is slower than a Model S Plaid.

What I find funny is that pre-EV, lots of companies had marketing departments claiming technological innovation. Like Audi, they had this slogan in Europe about "Vorsprung durch Technik". They went a bit quiet when Tesla started planning a factory close to Berlin.

(Note I'm not a Tesla fan. I'd never buy one. I just hate marketeers.)

That is interesting, you're saying it's a rather simple webcam, and thus that any USB-C user is served with a more expensive option. I hadn't considered that, you may very well be right here, because for example the Logitech Bri is both 4K and USB-C.
