Comment Re:Have we completed the road to serfdom yet? (Score 0) 346

Those naked princesses generate a lot of revenue and the general public knowing what they look like naked can make, break or stagnate the significant investments put into them. A naked girl is pretty much worthless these days. A semi-naked girl with a couple hundred million behind her in marketing is at least worth your life, my life and maybe a couple small towns.

Comment Re:Worst Apple product ever (Score 0) 105

Have you ever enjoyed using it? Nope, it is about as fun as Sony's old NetMD software and about as fast, stable and non-intrusive.

Would you recommend that others use it if they didn't have to use it with their iDevice? Nope. There is better software out there for playing and managing your audio. Apple knows this, but they don't really care, because it is first and foremost a device management platform. Screw everything else.

"Newton was a product that technology hadn't managed to catch up with."

That is the epitome of what Jobs was interested in. Wait until the tech and the price are at the right spot for mass consumption, then polish and sell it at a premium. As cool as the Newton was it wasn't any of those things. Too expensive, not enough muscle and not enough polish.

Agreed, the whole post treats Bob like he is some kind of asshole who needs to be destroyed for the betterment of mankind and advancement of the poster's power. How about buying Bob a beer and talking to him instead of running around behind his back and smearing him? If that doesn't work, ok, you can maneuver around him.

Odds are the whole problem is that he didn't have the time, resources and money to build what he wanted then other things came up. 10 to 1 says he never wanted to deal with a bunch of document files to begin with, that was someone else's preference and there was no web based WYSIWYG at the time that document person would have been comfortable with.

Was there a Facebook App I could click on that would automatically create a Google+ account for me? I can't recall such a thing, but it seems like it would be easy to implement.

Google was reaching too far with G+. They wanted to become the lord proprietors of your online identity and that is a quixotic task that wastes user's time and effort.
