I can see anything I want, from simple objects (and I can modify them any way I like, including slicing them in time and overlaying them to see every frame) to any real or imaginary image, visual effect and any sort of animation. I can play back a movie sequence in my head, change camera positions, position myself anywhere within the frame, rotate it, change color schemes, extract parts of images, whatever. Wish there was a way just to connect myself to a screen, so I could play this for others to see, unfortunately that's very unlikely to happen in our lifetimes.

So apparently government knows best when an airline is allowed to try and merge with another one to attempt thwart an impending implosion. Spirit will likely go bankrupt, much good that will do for the airline ticket prices and jobs, etc. For whatever reason so many are certain that everything that businesses do must be regulated, because apparently the governments and politicians and judges know better what a business is, how it works, when it is likely to succeed or fail, governments are wonderful at such a thing, which is why government always picks winners, like Solyndra for example...

But it is legal to scan people's faces for border control and at the airports because it is different when it is the government doing it? It is also legal to use face scanners to unlock phones... By the way, it is curious that to unlock some iPhone with a face scanner it is really unnecessary to get the phone owner permission if the government has the phone, all they have to do is shove your phone into your face (or the other way around if you like that). With a password at least they had to work a little.

Julian Assange is a political prisoner, prosecuted for exposing politically embarrassing information, whether lives were put at risk or not is none of his concern, he didn't even steal any information, it was guven to him. USA should be embarassed by so many things now, lacking support for the Ukrainian fight against the new hitler putin, lacking support for Israel against insane islamists, just lacking common sense and electing Trump instead of throwing out both parties and instead of voting in sane people.

nobody thinks aerosols are a magic bullet, however we are not switching to nuclear, we are burning coal, gas, oil, whatever we can light - we burn. So if using aerosols is what it takes to go on longer, until the oceans die from acidification due to CO2 we are adding (50GT annually), we will end up resorting to those methods.

There is a class of aerosols that can help both, to bring the heating down by blocking a few percentage points of the Sun light, while helping to deacidify the ocean, I am talking about Sodium (Na) and possibly Sodium based energy production. Sodium burns in water, it can be used to power engines (we don't have a good nozzle solution for Sodium right now), its vapor (NaOH) will block some of the Sun light and when it gets down to the ocean water it will act as a base, reducing acidity by combining with the CO2 and producing Na2CO3, this will sink to the ocean floor.

If we actually really cared about our lives and lives of everything on this planet, we would work on these solutions right now. But we cannot even get together and stop maniacs that are actually murdering people right now, the russians need to be stopped, the muslim fundamentalists in Iran and their proxies in Gaza need to be stopped. Our politics prevents us from doing anything that ir right, so I don't expect this to happen either. Eventually the only people surviving will be some multibillionaires in their bunkers and the rest of us will die off, maybe this is what we need as a species to drastically reduce the stupidity factor, I don't know.

I said it before and I will say it again: there is no way I will bother myself with this nonsense, I will keep buying these bags every single time I am at a store, whether they cost 10 cents, 50 cents or more, it doesn't matter. I buy them and then I toss them. Government cannot make me use one bag more than once, it's inconvenient.

Sodium, we should be seeding stratosphere with sodium, we can add it into the aiplane fuel. It would b even better to build sodium powered airplane engines and burn sodium directly. It would power the plane and it would deposit sodium high enough so it stays there for a couple of years. When it descends into the ocean, it would take out some of the CO2 and would work to deacidify the ocean water. We shouldn't be breathing it, so this would only work for flights over oceans. Building large, sodium powered electrical generators on barges and sending them to the ocean would also work.

Of course as always government thinks itself as some sort of 'force for good' and meddles with people's affairs, markets, business, lives, they can't help themselves, I mean they have destroyed the value of the dollar and the market and the prices are going up like crazy because of the inflation that the government created and now it needs to help us again.... with technology and with business, etc.etc.

How about no, how about leave people alone, they will definitely work out deals and they will get preferential treatment because of volume of their purchases and they will push the technology forward because there will be more competition as more money enters the field. This is real money, not the money printed/created by the Fed, this is money that is earned, so real savings will be spent to accelerate development of the AI stack and the technology will be able to progress because so much money will be poured into it. Who is supposed to be pouring money into the AI, small companies, individuals? The big companies will use their capital to get some advantage and they should. They should spend the money, pay for the development of the new tech, that will work the best. The rest will be able to enjoy the results a few years down the road, this happens with server hardware, with trucks, with cars, with everything. First the people who can spend the most do it, then the tech becomes widely available and affordable.
