How is Gab a "wingnut platform"? Are there "wingnuts" on Gab? Yes, certainly. That's what happens when you let anyone speak their mind. That doesn't mean the platform itself is a "wingnut" though - anymore than say slashdot. There are plenty of opinions and conversations of all sorts there. There are trolls. There are spammers. But to throw away an entire platform just because your filters for looking beyond unsavory people don't work - well...

Keep pushing that Green Power you fucking morons.

By adding a step to the process you have automatically reduced efficiencies, because nothing we design can ever be 100% efficient. So yay I have a green car. Forget about the extra energy required to create and maintain this new hydrocarbon based supply chain, not to mention the energy and pollution required to make and recycle batteries...

Sure - there are advantages too. But don't fucking sell me on this being a miracle because it's not.

No, generally once you go e-book you don't go back to regular books. They're expensive, bulky, heavy and kill trees. Sure, the readers might be interested in a new author. That interest will the take form of "what other books of his/hers are in ebook format?"
