I have an HTC Vive that ruined two pairs of very expensive glasses for me. The headset lenses were so close to my eyeglass lenses that they rubbed scratches in the center before I realized what was happening. So, yes, they *technically* fit over eyeglasses, but you need to be super careful with them. Or you can spend an additional thousand bucks for a corrective insert for the headset. Or, they could just make them fit over eyeglasses properly.

Expect the goalposts to be moved shortly. There will always be some excuse.

I'm not buying preemptively. I'm buying enough stock to fulfill current needs. I just have to plan it out 18 months in advance because I can't just pull a laptop out of thin air at a moment's notice anymore. I rarely, if ever, have extra laptops lying around "just in case".

I'm now having to plan my laptop purchases 18 months out to ensure I have enough in-house stock to meet company needs. Demand at my company has not lessened, it's only grown. I just can't get the equipment in anything like a timely manner. Orders are taking up to 3-4 months in some cases. I've had to repeatedly inform department heads that they need to allow enough lead time to procure equipment, that they can't just call up the day a new hire starts and expect to have a brand new laptop on their desk an hour later.

I realize my story is anecdotal, but for me, it's all chip-shortage.

We already have plenty of competing business apps. Some of them are even free. They work great right up until you need to share content with a different platform. This is just Amazon adding yet another competing standard.

We're long LONG past the time when we should have stopped tolerating this conspiracy theory nonsense. More people should be laying the smack down.

Maybe we're better off fostering a culture where people get to see the progress and understand that what they're seeing probably isn't going to be the final product.
