To me, shows like COPS are illustrative of the problem. I can't watch it, because I start screaming at the TV, due to the police (sometimes) violating peoples rights, and more often people not exercising their rights. I find it ironic that the police don't want to be filmed, but they want us to be filmed constantly! Cameras on every traffic light now!

There is silver and gold. I am a silver member. Silver = Not Gold. As a silver member you can go online. You can purchase game / items from the online store. I can't play games with online connectivity. I refuse to pay a monthly fee to play. Sometimes my games come with a free month of gold, but I don't even use that. The only thing I have ever bought, were expansion packs and songs for rock band.

If I don't agree and stay on my current version, but I still connect to the network, and then a forced upgrade comes out... Will I be force upgraded without every agreeing to that? And then when I sue them they will say, you agreed when the software installed? (by itself) Furthermore, I guess this means no more EULA changes since the upgrades will go on automatically.

Elections have consequences. These board members ran and were elected. They have the right to choose the books they want. If you don't think they are intellectual enough, then elect intellectuals. Just because they are being lobbied, does not mean they will make an ill-informed decision. Your anti-Texas bigotry aside.

Crap like this makes me sad to be a republican. Drudge has a posting saying net neutrality = fairness doctrine. And a headline saying that the FCC wants to regulate the internet, in big scary letters. Net neutrality is such and simple and good idea, I don't even understand why this is political, and why repubics are on the wrong side of this.
