I read it that you have to take it regularly before the onset of symptoms.
Might just as well mean that those people are more active in their lifestyle to begin with.

"Already on it, boss!".
> Stack-ranking is stupid. General Electric proved that fact but it took too many years for everyone else to notice. Too bad Amazon hasn't noticed yet.
Well, where others see problems, Jeff Bezos sees opportunities - so...
I bet they believe they just need to figure out the right algorithms and have enough data and then they can fix it and make it work.
It's the name of the daughter of an early Mercedes dealer:
Some people think were is a sort-of over-reporting of births because it's apparently a thing to report births in a big city (better schools later on) even if you live outside in the boonies.
Local governments don't really crack down on this because apparently they get more influence the more people they report...
That's why this time, the Chinese census-bureau was apparently very thorough.
It is enriching.
It increases Google's wealth.
Sometimes in Early January, he just disappeared from public view for a few days.
That's probably when they had their "oh-shit" moment in Beijing and tried to figure out what had happened (and make all the evidence disappear, as well as a couple of noisy scientists and journalists).
Beijing - the CPC - will never admit a fault.
I like daylight. DST adjusts the clock so I get more day-light during the day.
Someone on a forum claimed that his TV found an open WIFI in the neighborhood and used that.
If I have to buy a TV, I'll buy a hotel-TV that doesn't do this shit.
I swear.
Claiming otherwise doesnâ(TM)t change the fact.
It has all the hallmarks of the late stages of a bubble and people are using it as a quasi casino.
They used to be disappointing and pathetic and Google used to be exciting and cutting edge. We could very well see it switch and we all get excited about MS launches and bored by Google ones. I certainly felt bored by the Pixel 5 launch and excited about the XBox Series X (which someday I hope to buy if they can actually make enough to get them in stores). I am excited by the Surface launches and honestly don't know if Google makes chromedbooks or tablets any more.
AFAIK, Android development for tablets has stopped some time ago.
But at some point, they'll have to pay large companies to get behind their latest fads otherwise nobody will take any interest.
Because they (think they) have to clean the plates?
There's this proverb in German (that is really hard to translate) that basically says: "Better ruin your stomach rather than gifting something to the inkeeper".
That said, this makes a lot of sense - imagine you much food gets thrown away there, with 1.something billion people?
Or rather, it makes a lot of sense on the surface - how practical it will be remains to be seen. But at least, they are acknowledging that the problem exists and want to tackle it.
> we know (by the satellite images of lines of ambulances in front of Wuhan hospitals) that the virus started spreading in China probably from end August.
No. No you don't. Suspect all you like, but you do not know.
Back in Early 2020, there were credible reports from exchange-students that Wuhan had seen an unusually large number of cases of pneumonia as far back as August and September.
Given the large Chinese expat-community in Northern Italy and that Wuhan is a major transportation hub, it's not inconceivable that it was spread to Europe rather quickly.
As we've seen, it takes a while to develop "critical mass" for the virus - and unless you are really testing a lot, a lot of mild cases just never register on the radar.
