I read about this a couple of days ago. I wasn't sure if I was going to buy the game or not, with a wife, kids, and career I have to be careful where my gaming dollars go. As soon as I read this I went out and bought the game, if for no other reason than to encourage more acts like this and I couldn't be more pleased. It's a fun and beautiful game.

Except that they're opening with a nice library of games from playstation, something a lot of people remember fondly. They also have a nice framework for gaming programmers to use to make new games. The phone is also useful outside of being a gaming device, it runs Android something a lot of people are already invested in. So, this is more value add than anything else. You can use all the apps you already have on your Android device, play games that were on Playstation which so many remember fondly, and have a very powerful and useful smartphone. No, this is not another N-Gage, if anything the Playstation framework is a "killer" app.

Right, we're still a long way off from matching even a human's ability. For instance look of the sharpshooters that can shoot a .22 through a washer(the kind that go on bolts, not washing machine) that's spinning through the air. Still, this is pretty awesome and I really really want to own one.

Depends on the armor. The armor that I wore in Iraq had (I'm pretty sure it was made out of this) boron carbide plates in it. Also had a mesh to resist cracking so you could be shot more than once while wearing it. The plates were not all over the armor, however they were pretty large and covered a good portion of the body. Of course all this had the penalty of being pretty heavy, add weapons and ammunition to the kit and your in the 20lb+ range.

Let me tell you from firsthand experience. You cannot even fathom the awesomeness that goes on inside the cube unless you work there. It is not like Hollywood portrays it, but there is a whole lot of cool going on in there. That is why people work for the NSA. Now, I have philosophical disagreements with how the NSA ran business during the Bush years and I left that industry for aerospace. That being said if any of my former colleagues tell me that things have changed I think that I would go back.

If I remember correctly there is a cheap ($20) addon for the wiimote that has a gyroscope in it. I would imagine that it would give a better representation of its location in space. I'm not sure though if it is an actual gyro or if it's another set of accelerometers, either way I do know that it is much more accurate with relation to its position in a three dimensional space.

I think that Google is going to take some market be surprise soon. Think about it, they have wave. An open protocol that can be used across platform to manage and edit documents, projects, chat, email... /etc /etc. I have a feeling that they are timing a launch where they are going to launch ChromeOS, and Android app, and apps for other major platforms for Wave all at once. This would allow anyone using Wave to be working on projects anywhere they have internet essentially. Think about it, you could be working from your phone on a project with a person in Tokyo using a laptop and another in Spain using a desktop and it would work seamlessly. That is going to be killer for business.

So these people can predict the future now?! Really, you never know what is going to happen for sure. Look at current HDD tech, IBM made the GMR breakthrough and BAM! Huge storage capacity in drives. What makes people think that there cannot be another such discovery with solid state or some other yet unknown tech?
