Agreed. Education from 1st grade to 12th grade is already provided to all children in the country. Why is it now that this education is inadequate and we must provide additional education to adults? If everyone can get a free college degree than a college degree will be worth as little as a high school diploma is today.
Also, why should you get to pick your major if you are going to get a free college education? Your education should only be paid for with government dollars if your degree is chosen for you to fill the needs of the job market. Don't like it? Pay your own way for what you want to do with your life. That's called being an adult and it shouldn't be postponed to 25 so you can waste more of the prime years of your life taking useless classes and not contributing to society.
Going to manual would have saved the two crashed aircraft. MCAS doesn't prevent shutting off the automatic systems. There is a cut out breaker in the center console. The problem was there was no training to recognize the MCAS behavior and the pilots didn't know why the plane was continuing to trim down. They didn't know to kill the automatic trim control.
I believe the second crash they never touched the throttles either and by the time the plane crashed, it was exceeding the maximum design speed of the plane which magnified the effects of the trim down position.
I think that is a reasonable rule to have. That if you are to distribute your media in a digital format, any digital delivery service should be able to distribute it for the same licensing fee. I don't see why the vertical monopolies are allowed to pull content from a competing platform in order to make it exclusively available on their own wholly owned platform.
That's the definition of anti-competitive behavior.
A billion people didn't exist 300 years ago. I think we have time to move them...
I'm more interested in how many of the 'scientists' live in coastal areas, have solar panels installed on their house, drive electric cars, and avoid flying. I mean if it's a climate emergency, then shouldn't the logical course of action be cashing in retirement savings to reduce carbon emissions? Moving your home and family to a place that might benefit from climate change instead of being destroyed by it?
Or do they just want everyone else to change and it's only an emergency for governments to panic about and not them personally?
In my experience "4D" inevitably means they are going to squirt water in your face at some point... Spend a day at a Universal park and you'll see it's the truth.
Local governments love approving 55+ communities. Brings in plenty of property taxes and doesn't add to overcrowded schools and adds less to traffic problems since they aren't typically commuting during rush hour.
I got the Pixel 3XL for the same 4 reasons you stated. Except I switched to Total Wireless from Google Fi after the required amount of time had passed to not owe Google the full ridiculous cost of their phone.
So you're saying we're all going to end up going to the bad place?
Somehow I think the government has been worse, even in those democracies. As much crap as corporations get (and deserve) when it comes to excessive and egregious pollution, the government did enough to be on a different scale. How many superfund sites are government owned and created? Why is it the worst areas of environmental contamination that still aren't cleaned up are the government's messes?
For the USA, let me point you to Hanford and for the UK how about Windscale? Any other functioning democracies you want me to find environmental disasters for?
Well I voluntarily submitted my fingerprint to the government of Japan when I went through customs and immigration there... Don't recall if I had to do something similar for France. DNA doesn't seem like that much of a stretch.
The shitty candidates we have are a direct result of the shitty way we have set up political parties, primaries, and first past the post voting. Our election system is broken and there is no incentive for the political elites to fix it. The day you have rational and moderate candidates running is the day after our voting system gets replaced with a better one. (which hopefully won't take that civil war to accomplish)
[Citation Needed] Most municipal water sources filter their water just as well if not better than the Walmart filter and bottle station. Maybe if you are drinking raw well water you might have issues, but if it's tap water it is already heavily regulated and tested.
If they don't lend out depositors' money, then why do they pay interest? Money in a giant Scrooge McDuck vault are generating no value and gain no interest. Surely the bank is doing something with your deposited money to incentivize you to bank with them by paying you a return on your deposit?
