They have no idea the bullet they've dodged. Probably never will.

I don't think they get it. I can't just demand more money from the people who pay me. Well, I can, but it rarely works out the way I think it should
Precisely.
There's next to nothing on television I want to watch. Internet service is adequate (and has been since my 2009 DSL line) for my tele-viewing needs.
The Tomy Space Pets. I remember them well. I had the Hoomdorm and one other, but can't recall what it was called. Good times.
I'm pretty sure the spearhead of moving Big Brother to Silicon Valley was sometime around 1977 with Larry Ellison and Robert Miner holding the handle.

So, companies that have been treating their employees as disposable robots to be replaced each time they could save nickel . . . get a free pass? These guys really need to take a hard, long look in the mirror.
And here I thought Brazil was just a satirical movie. Had no idea it was a documentary.
. . . and many of them were shown to be hackable . . .
I think pretty much all of them have been shown to have more holes than a sieve. You can thank me for the dramatic hyperbole later.
As a Sprint customer, I can't imagine it could get any worse than it already is. My service is already shite. Now, merged with T-Mobile it could be double shite. How could I lose?
Problem is those libraries don't Just Work(TM) in ReactOS like they should. ReactOS is a nifty idea, but I've never been able to get it to work with my logbook program. I'm still using a rather old copy of Win2000 I had when I first bought the program. Although, now running in a VM hosted on a Mac. I'd really like ReactOS to be the solution to my *problem*, but I've been convinced for a long time now that I just need to write my own logbook program and use that instead.
So, in 10 years everyone on this planet will have internet access . . .
Except in Hamilton, NY and Gettysburg, SD. I can't for the life of me get a good enough signal in either of those places.
I socialize with other humans and consider the recommendations of my friends. I know, totally weird not using some sort of app to do that.
I just use Google Keep. It's not great. In fact, it's utter crap, but I don't need anything too fancy. When I do (e.g. sorting), I weep silently in my corner, clutching my knees tight.
There are some anomalies, like Chicago Meigs . . .
And KSMO where the government completely rolled over on its back for a belly scratch by the SMO board.
This seems kinda cool to me. I get texts that let me know when the ISS will be overhead (usually 1 or 2 days in advance), and they tell me where to look, what time, and give me a rough elevation where the ISS will be visible and where it will disappear. Maybe the Humanity Star gang could take some notes.
