It's a nightmare every single year, whatever program worked last year, doesn't support overseas income this year, none of the free file programs right now support this option, and most don't tell you until you get to the 2055 forms. At the point you enter your foreign address the software should know this already. I've resorted to having to use H&R Block the last 2 filings because it's the only one that works well, so I'm paying, plus paying extra, for the privilege of completing my tax form in a timely manner, oh, and as a bonus fuck you, you can't e-file, it needs to be printed and sent by snail mail.
I would love the surety of a gov program, that if there's an issue, I can use the fall back that it's THIER program that caused the problem, not my input !
