You're making an assumption that VR-CHAT people have real life interactions to compare against. From my experience - that's a large leap of faith.

Tell me the difference between VR-CHAT and meatspace.. Photons hit my eyes from "others" via the VR helmet.. audio waves hit my ears in the same way as meatspace too. So all you are missing out on is "touch" But touching strangers is slightly taboo in the modern world. Us nerds are also very used to missing out on that sense anyways :)
