Comment Not as if we couldn't see that coming ... (Score 1) 119

I know there is always the desire to jump into the "next great thing" with gaming, but the "next great thing" with gaming is doing things entirely with open source and free software" I know, you are like, how the heck can you kill the old gaming business models, well, look at how much things have changed in the past few years, look at cell phone games, look at steam. Things are not going to stay the same, and google, the big bloated company that they are, thought they could "inovate". Google doesn't innovate, they mostly kill products and internal innovation. They are never going to be ahead of some small startup, because, as much as they try, that is just not how things work. You have to be agile, flexible and not bogged down with corporate crap (why amazon can't even make a half-decent game) This whole idea of "upending your lives and sacrificing everything to work in the gaming industry" has to die. People wonder about crap like "why is there not more diversity in the games industry" or other stupid questions, while there you have it, the idea is that you get young eager developers, waste their time and money, and then they go find a new industry to work in later. (and I can't imagine sacrificing my life to go work for someone else, I mean, what kind of garbage idea is that)

Comment They probably visit but most people are not aware. (Score 1) 259

I just don't think they want us to have their advanced technology because we would probably just destroy ourselves with it. We just have shown ourselves to be very dense, and not really ready to deal with the kind of technology that they offer, because we would only misuse it to enslave ourselves and other horrible things. Aliens have already visited. There was a bunch of evidence at area 51, but they probably moved it.

Comment Would you like your conciousness there? (Score 1) 68

What if software gets good AI and actually become conscious, or worse yet, when you die, you actually become a cell phone ap, or should I say hell phone ap. The next step is dead people in proprietary robot bodies, bodies with parts that wear out that you can't replace that only get to interact with other dead people and walk around with drivers licenses for your human consciousness. Yuck, better put some more thought into your afterlife and where you want to go, because I can tell from first hand experience that is hell. Also, if atheism is true, then this very world does not exist, because obviously no one created it.

Comment Astaroth (Score 0) 313

Number one problem, Astaroth is demonized or ignored (and idiot atheists think she doesn't exist) by most people here on slashdot. All this could be avoided if we give the goddess her proper respect and place in society. (Yeah, and I'm non-photogenic, thus I don't do modeling or porn. In a lot of ways I am her opposite, Astaroth possessed me anyway simply because I was desperate enough to get my husband back who was a victim of the tech industry.) I used the symbol from the Grimorium Verum.

people who do not believe in the devil science

Yeah, well Lucifier just loves to watch people die. He hates us I guess because we are over emotional and backwards. He probably thinks sentient robots and parasite worms are better life forms. (also of course it begs the question, when has science gone too far with saving people's lives that the thing that is "alive" is no longer "human") (yeah, I went to hell and thought about it.)

Comment Everytime I read one of thesse science articules.. (Score 1) 68

Every time I read one of these science articles, I remember the glacial paces of science and the frustration of human cultures. It is slow going, with a lot of kissing up to humans that know way less than you do. That is why I am done with the sciences and have been so for years. My partner has finally come around to my way of thinking. No amount of prestige in the sciences can make up for the potential abuse dished out to the scientists.

That would sure be better than being a robot waiting to die in some hell world where your new lease on "life" is a consciousness possessing some robot where you can't reproduce and parts eventually all wear out and the government controls your chips and "license" to walk around. Why do people fight over some awful strip of desert? Do they actually think god gave it to them so they want it? (If a god gave me a piece of crap present like that I would just abandon it or throw it out.) Or is it really all about oil, and we can't have green clean energy, because we treat our tech workers like crap and force them to live in crap apartments in the most expensive areas.

Comment Re:Like the Hollywood movies (Score 1) 332

Oh god, the tech singularity thing is hell. Get everyone to start caring about freedom respecting software and hardware before we are all dead consciousnesses in chipped robots run by the government in some kind of "crap" afterlife, where everything just kind of fades away and your whole existence is some crappy robot where parts wear out and you have to get a stupid "license" just to walk around as a robot. No, I'm not kidding about this. Quit worshiping technology and tech companies. They are not gods, it is a ticket to some real crap afterlife that ends in a tedious hell with a random number generator that determines when you get out or not. Also, take a break from the god forsaken computer. Reincarnation is real, and infinitesimally better than the crap after life and climb out of the hell wheel.

USA is pretty bad, but then again you really think some other country is some how better? Seriously doubt that. If we get our shit together, aliens would probably honor us and pick the USA as the place to land and send their first global public greeting. Even this country is however still too much of a mess for that. Because of all the cultural differences between people here, this country would probably be the top pick if we could improve on certain things.
