The combination of tortoise and elephant is present John Locke's 1690 tract An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, which references an "Indian who said the world was on an elephant which was on a tortoise "

Different 'populations' of slightly different versions of the AIDS virus grow and decline and eventually the immune system can never quite rid the body of the infection which eventually overwhelmed as you described.

Caffeinated Alcoholic Drinks May Be Illegal 398

Anonymusing writes "The FDA has announced an investigation into the safety and legality of alcoholic beverages containing caffeine. As a Wall Street Journal blog reports, two major beer companies, MillerCoors and Anheuser-Busch, stopped producing caffeinated alcoholic drinks last year after reports surfaced of increased negative effects compared to caffeine-free alcohol. CNN notes that, according to FDA rules, 'food additives require premarket approval based on data demonstrating safety submitted to the agency' — and caffeine is a food additive. The 26 targeted beverage makers have 30 days to respond."

I don't think you quite understand. Data showed that there is already a correlation between the season a baby was born in and measurable performance statistics. They have shown that some, most or all of this correlation is due to a key assumption being false;

A key assumption of much of that research is that the backgrounds of children born in the winter are the same as the backgrounds of children born at other times of the year.

Ah fuck it, I can't be bothered to explain it in full. It's too obvious.

Prey had your character/avatar talking and reacting to the strange environment and things that were happening. Just as I was thinking "What the fuck is happening", my character would say the same thing! I'd seen that in an FPS until that point and it really imporved the immersion in the game.
As you say, the author of TFA just hasn't played a large enough spectrum of FPS's to be a worthwhile critic of them.

30 day PLEX costs 310,000,000 ISK
30.0986 GBP gets you 620,000,000 ISK
1 GBP = 20,598,964.73 ISK
Some ISK-selling sites:
1,551.50 GBP buys you 40,000,000,000 ISK
1 GBP gets you 25,781,501.77 ISK
928.14 GBP buys you 19,500,000,000 ISK
1 GBP gets you 21,009,761.45
471.65 GBP buys you 10,000,000,000 ISK
1 GBP gets you 21,202,162.62 ISK
Hardly twice as much. And that is when buying in massive bulk - buy in smaller packages and you can reduce the ISK figures above by 1/3. Not to mention this ISK can come from hacked accounts and lead to bans.
