Cool let us know how that work on the other hardwares or pastures you go on.. Business are going to do things for money and profit.
If that story is true (which is very doubtful at this stage) Apple must be seeing that it does not make business sense to be tied to twitter (just like it does not make business sense to be tied to KKK for e.g.).
I doubt it has to do with anything about the politics or free speech...Truth social is on the apple store as far as i know.
BTW "Musk says " is not a proof of truth...I won't give you a list of stuff he said that never happened or never materialized.

I suspect countries like Germany etc may start banning twitter first if pro nazi groups start flooding it, they have some of the strictest anti nazi laws (which some may claim to be anti free speech).

Nuts ! Will we have gotten to the moon in the late 60's without government ? Or go to earth orbit in early 60's
It is dubious now why we are going to the moon again. But unless there is a business goal then it won't be cheaper with the private industry.
It is arguable if there were going to be a business of comm sats etc if governments in the world did not show it was feasible to put space in orbit.
I doubt Bell labs etc would have gone into rocketry.

Places with no government (e.g Somalia) are not attractive to SpaceX for some reason... go figure government waste.

Yeah thing like deepwater etc never happened. All these fracking wells are very environmental...just that you can set the your tap water on fire. And oh...all the massive storms, fires, flooding are very clean too !

Oh the folly: mining lithium or other battery metals is destroying the environment and windmills are killing thousands of birds

Sorry the quality of work in Astronomy out of South Africa or Australia is better than China by an order of magnitude.
So i don't know what metric they are using...i agree US fraction of important discoveries is going down but that may be a good thing to have centres of excellence in Europe, south Africa, India, China and Australia.

Looking at averages does not mean there is no problem.
You can walk in a store and get AR-15 or AK 47 in less than 30 mins for a few thousand bucks.
Could 18 year old do that 50 years ago ?
May be the average kid (whatever that means) has less access. But the few outlier individuals are finding it easy.

It is like saying oh the rich are suffering because the average buying power of the population has gone down. You should look for a job at the NRA or some political parties selling logical sounding non-sense

Communication licences; That is all...just like you cannot broadcast radio waves in a country before getting the required licenses for the frequency spectrum you are going to use...just because you are beaming from space does not change the law on the ground.
If they switch on their beam over a country without permission...it is a violation of that countries sovereignty and it is very directed beams. As compared to shortwave BBC for example...they can say they are beaming to some countries in Africa where they are licenced ...it bouncing off the upper atmosphere to other countries is not under their control.
