They think this versioning method is a good thing? I read the headline and only thought "5, already? omfg, I'm done with this stupid browser".

I know that's probably biased, and knee-jerky, subjective and immature, but that doesn't change that it's probably a lot of peoples thoughts on the matter.

It's stupid how a number can make you or break your opinion of a product, and even stupider that their change had the opposite affect on me (negative impression, etc)

Can anyone recommend alternatives to all the new "whiz-bang" bullshit that's put in browsers today?

Now that Firefox has truly gone the way of Netscape and IE with the bloat, I'd really like to get back to a bare-bones browser that simply provides the openness for the plugins I need, and GTFO with everything else.

I'm weary of Chrome, and Firefox is just worthless to me now (crashes, slow, etc).

Yeah this is a biased comment, but I figured the people with the same requirements as I have will probably understand and respond. I hope!

I have a windows mobile phone from the generation before. I tell everyone I'm able: it really is the worst product that I've ever seen actually released. I have NO idea how it was put on the market, because it is so fundamentally nonfunctional in so many primary features... I mean that statement says it alone.

I will never touch another MS mobile product again. It enrages me that they get away with multiple shit-products. DO NOT BUY!

Please take it from my lengthy, extremely painful, dissatisfied experience. Never buy a Windows Mobile phone. Ever. I don't care WHAT they might have done to this version of the software, I can guarantee you it will not work a fraction as well as any alternatives.

I own an HTC Mogul PPC6800. I have never experienced a product so poor, so lacking in quality and completely failing to fulfill its most primary functions. Every day I have to use it I wonder to myself how it was even released. I have never seen such a poor product even be allowed to enter consumer hands in exchange for money. It is just that bad.

I felt this would be a good topic with which to share that experience.
