agreed :) +1 to you. i was going to mention 2001 as well. But they (and the ST ones) look more like a Toshiba Excite or Sony S1 than an iPad. (NO ONE IN THE FUTRUE USES WHITE PLASTIC, execpt for Storm Troopers and the imperial guard, then it is for cloths not gadgets. Everyone knows Space is dirty hehehe)

well the Pads used in Enders Game were more like an iPad then the ST Pads. In Enders Game the Pads had social media on them.. pretty sweet for an old book to have tech that we now use today. Not to mention the whole remote controlled War games.

blue sky.. hmm.. never know.. but on Earth I know that[br] "A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight." [br] The white light from the sun is a mixture of all colours of the rainbow. This was demonstrated by Isaac Newton, who used a prism to separate the different colours and so form a spectrum. The colours of light are distinguished by their different wavelengths. The visible part of the spectrum ranges from red light with a wavelength of about 720 nm, to violet with a wavelength of about 380 nm, with orange, yellow, green, blue and indigo between. The three different types of colour receptors in the retina of the human eye respond most strongly to red, green and blue wavelengths, giving us our colour vision.

Check out the photos of Mars from the 1970s and you will be amazed at how much the sky on Mars ISNT as red as the Gov wants us to think. google = Real Color of Mars.. do some reading and lets start up a new thread called why do they want us to think Mars is red?

Submission + - Ask Slashdot - Best Apps or Products for Low Vision

Wingfat writes: Hi there Slashdot-ers. My wife has MS and her vision has been affected pretty badly. Our home PC is set to 800x600 with the largest font MS will allow and the Low Vision stuff turned on. She still has issues with being able to use the MS search to find Music on our drives. Has issues with 90% of web sites that are not set to work for people running 800x600.
She can barly see things on her HTC phone and it isnt connected to a data plan so she has no apps on it to help out.
The state took away her driving license becasue she can not read the road signs.

I think Richmond should work on crime first. Updating the roads, and schools before they start messing with what people can and can not drink. i mean really now. get with it people. -also not as big of a problem in Mexico where they DO NOT use High Fruitose Corn Suryp in their soads.. hmm makes you think. When did HFCS get big, yep you got it, in the 80s when New Coke came out. that was the first main brand drink in the US to use the HFCS junk. when they then moved back to coke classic they kept using the fake sugar and didnt go back to real sugar. since then has anyone else noticed how people are now getting larger and dying of more cancers?
