Then you'd just have added another programming layer since you'd still have to tell the computer exactly what type of software you want it to write. Really not that different from a compiler.
Maybe you just shouldn't use a word like "source" to mean "executable" when you're talking about software. It's just bound to create confusion.
On a side note, kilobyte is abbreviated kB, not KB or kb.
