Actually, they are very similar...

They still do this in Argentina (at least, on the Santiago -> Cordoba flight, they do).
Chemtrails!!
P.S. Whoever modded my initial post as "troll" obviously doesn't understand the truth buried within my snarky statement: Code reviews don't ensure quality.
I'd mod you back up, but someone did the same to me about a year ago, and my Karma never recovered
Must be from Canada...
This is how science works. They work out how to do this, and they start applying this to other (larger) problems.
They build on these things over time, and eventually there is commercial application.
I guess, for me, forcing me to use ANOTHER email address wont work. If you force everyone to have a new email address on a generic domain then a number of things happen:
1) all the "nice" addresses get used up quickly. How many Frank Smiths of the world can have frank.smith@usa.phone? one. that's how many. How many Frank Smiths are in the world? I don't know, but its more than one.
2) because of 1) above, you end up with frank.smith@usa.phone, frank_smith@usa.phone, franksmith@usa.phone, franksmith13453@usa.phone. I want to call frank smith - which one do I call? I already have franks email, but that wont help me under your scenario.
3) people go off the idea of a central register because they don't want another email address. I already have 3 regularly used email addresses, I don't want another one just so people can call me. Use one of my existing ones please.
Why would I want another email address? I have a whole domain to use!
There is no good reason to force people onto a particular domain. All that needs to happen is that the user registers their email address of choice.
I guess the point is, that due to licencing issues, you are not paying for the SAME content in different regions.
For instance: In New Zealand Breaking Bad is not available as someone else (TVNZ?) has the rights to it. If I VPN to the US, Breaking bad is available.
... it would be fine.
But it doesn't.
it downloads somewhere between 3-6Gb, reboots about 4 times, then says "Oh oh, something went wrong". And then rolls back.
Over and over and over again.
Let me turn this shit off.
In Christchurch we had a 6 storey building collapse. Not technically a "skyscraper", but whatever.
We have fairly tight building regulations (known earthquake area), so it came as a bit of a surprise.
Turns out that the engineer was inept.
Don't be surprised if this happens in other areas.
How are you planning to keep the frozen foods frozen?
As a resident of Christchurch (New Zealand), parts of the city didnt get power back for weeks after the 2011 earthquake, so frozen food was next to useless even if you could get back into your residence.
We had come contractors in Vietnam, and when we fired them, we asked for our test devices back.
I opened the box, looked at the 2 x iPhones and immediately said "those are fake". My coworkers didn't believe me until they went to the "App Store" and ended up at the Google Play store.
They were incredibly realistic, with only small differences in the fonts used and "feel" of the OS. If you had not used an iPhone before, i can see how you would have been sucked in. The hardware looked to be authentic, but re-purposed somehow with Android running.
If only I had mod points...
