Terrorists use terror for political purposes. Violence is deprecated, but not everyone who is violent is a terrorist.

Historically we have seen groups with houses and future to reach for, who still go to war.

Israel did withdraw from Gaza, motivated by your idea, closing the settlements and removing the settlers, and Gaza got worse, not better. The infrastructure got damaged.

Well, I'm uncomfortable killing, period. Even if they are terrorists, we should look for another way before jumping in to killing them. In the case of Hamas there may (or may not) be another way, but war is always and everywhere a sad thing.

Criminals? That might have something to do with the fact the SEC isn't a law enforcement agency and has no arrest powers, they're a regulatory agency. Anything the SEC discovers that looks criminal is passed to the FBI.

They can't touch employee's personal phones beyond an agreed-upon managed work partition. Everyone has a personal phone.

Tabs vs Spaces is right up there in geek hills-to-die-on with Vi vs Emacs. It has been around for decades.

If your parser is that shit and can't HANDLE tabs, it needs to be broken explicitly so you fix it and it doesn't break accidentally, in some weird and obscure way. Even just blindly converting tabs to spaces is better than breaking.

I'm basically speaking from personal experience here. I believe Microsoft had a lot of managers with engineering degrees. This trash person has an engineering degree.

Yeah. I don't think they've improved in translation ability. I think they've gotten worse in translation ability.

They have improved in the sense that the output of the translation tools is more likely to be grammatically correct.

It won't help. "Ambitious" management types will just see that as another obstacle, and then will feel more entitled to riches because they've "worked so hard for them."
