Young people have grown up watching their disabled parents struggle with back injuries and various job site exposure diseases while being financially left to rot. They want a white collared job, or anything that won't lead to certain poor health, especially since our medical and insurance industry is a complete joke.

Besides the above, crypto is a very real threat to many if not all government backed fiat currencies. If it were to go mainstream it would be extremely hard for many nations to continue running their printing presses profitably. There very well could be a massive amount of manipulation with the exchanges to produce these publicized issues in order to make crypto look intimidating to the average consumer. It's not like there is good reason to trust anything about these exchanges or the people running them, whoever they are.

Inspired by Amazon, Paid Promotions Spread to Other Online Shopping Sites in 2022 (msn.com) 12

We're buying more things online, the Washington Post notes. But how we buy may be changing too: For the first time in years, Google and Meta have grabbed less than half of the digital marketing money spent in the United States in 2022. Amazon, which took more than 11 percent of all digital ads purchased, was the biggest reason Google and Meta lost ground as advertising powerhouses, according to the research firm Insider Intelligence.

In part because of Amazon's success with paid product promotions, Walmart, Target, the grocery delivery company Instacart, drugstore chain Walgreens and other retailers are also putting a higher priority on tailoring commercials to influence what you buy, advertising specialists said. Another reason these ads are spreading is that retailers' knowledge of what you buy is valuable, especially now that there are more limitations on how internet powers such as Facebook can follow everything you do to target you with ads.

Like Google and Facebook, stores are trying to use as much information as they can find about you to steer your choices. One difference from Google and Facebook is that retailers like Amazon and Walmart make money from influencing what you buy and from selling you the product.

The thing is ... these ads seem to work on you. And that's why paid product persuasion is likely here to stay.

The problem you are describing is ultimately with zoning laws and permitting in general, not AirBNB. Let people build on property they own at cost if they intend to live in the house and rezone all property along major roadways as multifamily residential. Right now in California it is more expensive to build a house than to buy one.

“Sadly, the virus itself, particularly the variant called omicron, is a type of vaccine, that is, it creates both B-cell and T-cell immunity, and it’s done a better job getting out to the world population than we have with vaccines,” he lamented.

Gates noted that surveys in Africa show that up to 80 percent of people have either been vaccinated or have been infected with one of the variants.

“That means the chance of severe disease, which is mainly associated with being elderly and having obesity or diabetes, those risks are now dramatically reduced because of that infection, exposure,” he said.

This is a probably a message sent near directly to Valve, makers of the Steam gaming platform and soon to be released flavor of linux SteamOS 3.0 which aims to provide a dedicated gaming operating system in the event Microsoft decides to start closing off their store and application access a la Apple.

A gaming flavor of Linux supporting the entire Steam catalogue backed by a major company with real funding and a desire for a clean polished interface is everything I really need to replace Windows at home. This may actually be the year of the Linux desktop. It gives me hope to see Microsoft squirming a bit.
