An anonymous reader writes: The definition of "Internet Connection" seem to be changing to "Internet, except port 80, blocked this, limited that, addresses translated this way..." My question is: What is the easiest way to get around these limitation to a real internet connection? I know it is possible to run IP over IP. (This is how they are doing staged upgrades from IPv4 to IPv6.) Has anyone run IP over IP or IP over SSH to get around limits of their ISP's connection? How did you do it and what was your experience?

We have a library that is open to all students and alumni of the program, however the computers desperately need to be updated. I have been searching for groups/companies/charities/educational foundations who might be interested in supporting our fairly modest need of 10 computers. So far no luck, and Im out of ideas. So I ask the Slashdot community, Does anyone know of any organizations who might be interested in donating 10 computers (or the money to buy them) to support some Ecuadorian students?"

Anonymous Coward writes: "Thailand's military-appointed government blocked access to video-sharing Web site YouTube on Wednesday after its owner, Google, declined to withdraw a video clip mocking the country's monarch.

Communications Minister Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom told Reuters he ordered a block of the entire site from Thailand after the ministry's attempts to block the offending page last week failed.

"Since Google has rejected our repeated requests to withdraw the clip, we can't help blocking the entire site in Thailand," said Sitthichai, a telecommunications professor who said he had spent most of his academic life researching eavesdropping devices.
