MegaMan 9 is ok. I think they made it just a bit too hard though. After failing to defeat a single stage in my first playthrough (tried all of them once) I put on MegaMan 2 and 3, and they're tough, but nowhere near as difficult.

I agree that it's not the BBCs responsibility to provide revenue to the ISP, however I don't think that was suggested. I had, perhaps wrongly, assumed that the BBC would be getting that money extra $10, and that they'd be getting it by adding an optional tax onto your broadband bill. I'm not sure why the BBC would be concerned with ISP revenues.

I'm not going to pay $10 more a month for what I already have just because someone wants more money. But... if the BBC made their content such high quality that my 10Mbps connection wasn't enough to stream from their site, then maybe I'd consider upgrading to a 20Mbps plan. Don't offer me what I already have and pretend it's suddenly worth more - offer me something better, and then maybe I'll buy it.

It's got a field that says "I am a robot" checked off by default. A human should obviously see that and uncheck it. Those registrations that come in with it checked are blackholed. It's definitely cut down on the SPAM accounts since they enabled it.
Introducing the Slashdot Firehose 320
Logged in users have noticed for some time the request to drink from the Slashdot Firehose. Well now we're ready to start having everybody test it out. It's partially a collaborative news system, partially a redesigned & dynamic next-generation Slashdot index. It's got a lot of really cool features, and a lot of equally annoying new problems for us to find and fix for the next few weeks. I've attached a rough draft of the FAQ to the end of this article. A quick read of it will probably answer most questions from how it works, what all the color codes mean, to what we intend to do with it.

Making matters worse, Google is impossible to contact by human. Hijacked users must contend with an endless series of forms.
