Comment His chief of staff (Score 2) 240

I read most comments, looks like no one mentioned the last part of the post, the one with Bolsonaro's chief of staff comment.
"His chief of staff, Onyx Lorenzoni, told the Globo broadcast network that the administration would be turning down the offer, and insulted Mr. Macron with a reference to the fire that gutted the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris in April. The Brazilian government later confirmed his comments, Globo reported."

His comment was something like this:
"We appreciate, but maybe this resources are more relevant to reforest Europe. Macron couldn't even prevent an expected fire in a world heritage church, so what he expects to teach our country? He has too much to handle back home and in the french colonies."

This is typical of Bolsonaro's blind supporters.

When Germany and Norway pulled the aid from the amazon fund Bolsonaro comment on the same lines, "Norway, the one that kills whales up there in the north?" And posted on twitter a video from the Faroe Islands. Also on Germany, he said Merkel should reforest Germany with that money. The next day the german embassy posted a video on how well german forests are preserved.

The next day he says Brazil has no funds to fight widespread fires deep in the amazon, surreal.

This right wing populists are as much of a danger to the world as their left wing counterparts, they both make up stories, deny facts, and their blind supporters love to read about them on social media.

Regarding point A, not exactly. You'll go through customs when you first arrive in a country, even if you have a connection to another city in that country. So you'll have all your bags and could walk right outside instead of going to the other gate.

I just experienced that returning to my country, get all my bags and go through customs in the first stop. Check bags again and take a new flight/plane to reach the final destination, no customs this time.

Comment Re:Get the Moto E4 instead. (Score 1) 52

Moto E is their most basic phones, usable but the Moto G or Moto Z Play are so much better and still cheap compared to the options from most manufactures. Only ASUS phones compare price/performance wise to Motorola here.

I'm still very happy with my 1st gen Moto Z Play, it is rocking Oreo with Junes security update. When i had a Samsung i rarely got this security updates. Battery is very good, fast charging, decent performance, headphone jack and all :)

For the people commenting that now the elections will be rigged etc, please notice Brazil has been using e-voting machines for 20 years, that boat has sailed a long time ago.

I prefer the electronic voting, it is a lot faster to vote and get the results, and it is not like paper voting is any safer: https://www.bbc.com/news/av/wo...

The best reason to go electronic is to avoid pressure on voters. People used to "sell" their vote for pennies, the ticket from paper voting was the proof they voted for the buyer.

"The characteristic histological features of this bile duct submucosa structure (spaces filled with fluid and with collagen bundles lined asymmetrically by flat cells) are readily visualized in other tissues."

This fits all definitions you posted, it is a a structure or group of tissues with some particular function that is part of the human organism. It is as much as an organ as the skin, it fits the same definition.

Probably that, they'll block the items that make it dead easy to watch pirated content, just like Popcorn Time. Any computer can be a pirate box with kodi, if they sold Intel NUCs loaded with kodi and those plugins it would also be pulled. Or at least it is the sane thing to do.

BTW, since when http://kodi.tv/ was seized? I don't use it but i don't remember seeing anything about they losing their website.

I received a letter from my bank and it had a "link" to their website, i bet 99% of the people who got that mail didn't realize banco.bradesco was actually a website. It didn't have a http or www that most people now are familiar with, it was just banco.bradesco, you could think they missed a space if you were not careful.

Years having to tell people they don't need to write http:/// now they "changed" it and people will begging to ask again - "banco.bradesco? So www.branco.bradesco? How about http, this one have that thing too? How do i open it? Oh just a regular site? " :-(

Comment Brazilians know that sound (Score 1) 111

Ask any brazilian and they tell you that is Globo's "plim-plim" (thats how we call it). I don't know where the phone related claim comes from, i only know it from TV, not ringtones...

Here it is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

It is decades old (since the 70s) and marks when the commercial breaks start and end. Thats how they used to signal to all regional re-transmitters when to switch to/from commercials. It is a very recognizable branding of Globo TV.

"She stated, in particular, that that mark consisted of a simple and banal ringing sound and that it could not be perceived as an indicator of the commercial origin of the goods. The examiner therefore requested that the applicant submit its observations to her within a period of two months."
Like i said, that is wrong, just because you don't know it doesn't mean it is not their branding...
