Doesn't work for me either, I don't get the desktop version on my large phone even though I asked for it and the mobile version simply isn't showing any comments, not that it matters since the beta ruins the whole comment system, can't see uid numbers, it's a horrible layout, stupid colours - grey on grey, as if it isn't hard enough to read text on a smart phone.

And the font looks like crap, I have an extension 'document font toggle' if I continue to visit slashdot after it's been horribly mangled then I'll not be allowing it to choose that god-awful font.

Having said that, if slashdot makes this new beta mandatory, I will 100% definitely be walking out for a couple of weeks to make my feelings felt, I recommend others do the same.

None of them have comment systems as good as slashdot CLASSIC, but it doesn't look like that'll be around for long. A shame because that's what kept visiting here for 14+ years.

It is Google's job to sort out the malware it hosts and now the problem is known about it really shouldn't be hard for technically proficient people to root out and report bad apps.

Why would anyone want to use the browser made by an advertising giant that puts the NSA to shame with regard to watching everything on the web (google analytics, google+ web-bugs etc).

Todays Anti-virus software is truly pathetic, I don't waste my time with this useless nagware. I haven't had AV installed for over 5 years, that's worth catching and removing 1 virus for... if/when that happens.
