You made an asinine comment. The reality is that India put in protectionist rules in place to ensure their folks got jobs and didn't have to compete internationally. Apparently you think it is perfectly acceptable for US tax dollars to go to a project where their own citizens don't have a chance to get some of the work because the Indian government won't allow it.

The trade agreement specifies that contracts have to be competitive and India chose to ignore this rule. It isn't a really hard concept.

I remember listening to an interview on Mike & Mike (ESPN radio) where they talked to some official try to explain away all of the problems with the Rio water supply and how athletes got sick in a rowing event in the water. The Rio water was fine, she explained and any problems would be rectified. Her doublespeak was so thick that only a complete moron couldn't hear that she was a grade "A" liar.

The reality is the water is so dirty that you might as well swim in raw sewage. Does the Olympic Committee care? Nope. They got their bribes and they are happy.

Have a nice day.

I've read your comments on this article and you appear to not have a basic grasp on reading or logic. I will be kind and assume you have taken too much cold medicine and are not normally this imbecilic, but that is the impression that folks are getting of you right now.

My recommendation is to walk away from the keyboard, clear your head and maybe post again in the morning.

Comment Time to Stop with Political Correctness (Score 4, Funny) 244

Okay, folks, it is time to get rid of the political correctness and call a spade a spade.

There is one group of Americans who cause the vast majority of violent crimes in the United States. They commit a disproportionately large amount of homicides and make up a vastly disproportionate amount of the people in prisons across the country.

They are responsible for being a majority of drug offenders. They cause most fights in schools and make up the vast, vast majority of high school drop outs.

They are also responsible for a vastly disproportionate amount of DUIs.

But political correctness will not allow us to talk about this problem. If we simply locked up this part of society, we'd all be better off.

And I think we all know what group this is.

OP asked a question. You obviously do not know the answer because you just made a stupid, insulting reply. Perhaps if you don't know the answer, don't reply. I don't know the answer either, but would be interested in knowing the answer as well and would have asked the question had the AC not already asked. But instead of an answer you just shit all over it and are apparently offended that it got asked. Get over yourself and realize that some people aren't afraid to ask questions when they are ignorant... you might want to try it.

Now that I think about it, if Philae did not bounce off of the comet, then the screws must be doing their job and I would think the harpoons might not be needed at all. I would assume the harpoons were in the plans because the engineers couldn't be sure the screws would work on the surface of a comet.
