Comment Still waiting for a fully integrated IDE/GUI plus (Score 1) 62

While I appreciate all those efforts, it would be wonderful if we had a fully functional RAD/IDE with ability to provision beautiful GUI applications. I am trying to develop a native database application with a programmable GUI where business logic can be implemented.

This is possible with present tools. The problem is the lack of that tight knit environment. Everything is disjointed. An update to one component creates mayhem!

How exactly would one employ an electric car with technology available today in such a situation?

How about folks who move goods province-wide? Canada is huge!!

You see, the USA has been busy fomenting chaos and mayhem in distant lands, (Iraq, Afghanistan and now Ukraine). How things have panned out in Iraq and Afghanistan is another topic all together.

In Ukraine, they have been talking of the imminent [Russian] invasion since November last year!!

Former Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work, who served under three Secretaries before retiring in 2017, has been even more explicit. The Chinese could provision the hardware, we users download the software and completely tame these thieving companies as a result.

There's more complex opensource software out there saving lots of people headaches. This is one area that still needs to be "conquered."
