Ricky Bobby: We? No, we are not French. We're American, because you're in America, okay? Greatest country on the planet
Jean Girard: Well, what have you given the world apart from George Bush, Cheerios, and the ThighMaster?
Ricky Bobby: Chinese food?
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Chinese food.
Jean Girard: That's from China.
Ricky Bobby: Pizza.
Jean Girard: Italy.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Chimichanga.
Jean Girard: Mexico.
Ricky Bobby: Really, smarty-pants? What did French land give us?
Jean Girard: We invented democracy, existentialism, and the Ménage à Trois.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Those are three pretty good things.

The latest gens of macs are already using something like this. I can manage apps/windows with four fingers, use three fingers for navigation, two for contextual menus and document manipulation. It's not fully customizable, and it isn't entirely native (not all apps make use of gestures), but I think it is clear evidence that technology is moving this way anyhow.

Personally, I'd like an agnostic input surface that can be used for keyboard input and multitouch gestures. That way, I don't have to move my hands anywhere to change from one function to another.

Holy cow I just had an idea! What if we made a way for news agencies to post little "abstracts" of their articles in one central "page" Then we could link these abstracts to a full-fledged article. This way, people could browse all of the articles at once. No more flipping pages looking for flipping articles.

Genius Google, pure GENIUS!

The same goes for movies projected in 3D using polarized light: as long as you wear the glasses, your sighted eye will only see one picture and you won't be able to tell the difference (it'll look just like a normal movie to you).

That's my problem with this tech-it looks just like any other 3D to me, it's nothing special. At least this is one area in which I won't be overcome by my obsession with new tech. Hopefully by the time this tech becomes commonplace they'll have figured out a way to stop this from inducing headaches in those of us who cannot process the effect.

Well, there was a small window of time where he was right, but that's changed probably in the last 1-1.5 years. 4GB config on MBP is $100, you can find it or less than that from newegg and the like, and Dell was selling theirs for only $50.
