Where's the fairness in that?
It's all a fairytale. And there's the fairness you were looking for.
Jokes apart. The thing is... religion still holds sway over the lives of most people on the planet. Most don't understand reason.
I don't know why the both of you are arguing about Russia and Ukraine, when we are here talking about Moon landing. BTW, Russia stopped mattering to the world a long time ago, except for the oil perhaps.
An economist saying something about science? I wouldn't bother.
And they give peanuts to the authors of those books, if anything. They have a minimum threshold set, before when they give nothing to the author. For many advanced books that serve graduate students, they even fail to reach that threshold. In this day of technology, I wonder why authors still have to rely on publishers? There are so many self-publishing sites that let you publish your book in electronic (sometimes in dead tree) versions. And they share a bigger piece of the list price with the author.
Just the BitCoin alone. Lugging those other things around would raise a lot of suspicion. When it comes to crime, cryptos are your best friend.
Jio said there is a "near consensus" among telecom operators across the globe on this subject.
Well, their is "near consensus" among software developers too, that they all badly need a 100% pay hike.

Wouldn't the profits that the streaming service providers (SSP) are making in India, have to come out that same $2400 as well? Either ways, Indians have to pay for what they consume. ISPs are merely saying, who ever is at the other end of the pipe making money by what ever means, that money belongs to us.
... and in 10 years time we may have long tail events happening all the time, if the situation does not change.
Insurance companies do need reckless drivers and the fear of accidents to drive regulation and ultimately profit. So insurance companies are definitely taking a note of all of this driverless thing.
I've always wondered why the government didn't ban the power loom. It put so many handloom workers at a great disadvantage, eventually putting them out of job. The government should also have put a ban on the "Big" refrigeration companies. These reckless companies put thousands of ice delivery men out of jobs, forever. Today these markets are dominated by the big clothing companies running on automated machines, churning out millions of meters of fabric and millions of refrigerators. Where is equity of opportunity here? Don't the handloom workers and ice men have a right to live in their own way? US should have always been one large amish-ish country. Forever.
Yevgeny Prigozhin is "dead" in a "plane crash" soon after Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon. Might be a coincidence but who knows? A failed mutiny, then a failed Luna-25 mission and now this.
The finale. Russia has never successfully landed on the moon.
Ya, as though its a thing of the past. Corruption is the main business in Russian government establishments. Them fumbling like foolish bums on the streets of Ukraine was a result of the same corruption too.
