Here is a very good description of the protestors
"Today’s voters, aged 18-29 are among the most influential political forces in the world. They are also the weakest segment of eligible voters in the US when it comes to actually exercising their right to vote. Chants of “democracy now” and dozens of slogans decrying the loss of democracy in the US have become the latest rallying cry of this group. Yet, only 1 in 5 of this group actually voted in the 2010 elections, despite being eligible. This has earned the movement the moniker: Romper Room Revolution."
Yeah that pretty much sums it up.
In Germany, comdoms are available in packs of 7. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc). In France, packs of 9. (Twice a day at weekends!) And in England, packs of 12! (Jan, Feb, Mar
That's too clever your one of them!
Tragedy of the Commons is the whole Musical Chair effect.
I went after the very simple Murder 1 and 2 where some person/group simply sets out to end other people's lives for pure gain as my starting point of What Not To Do.
I agree that those "Everyone play nice with your cows in the field" effects are far harder, but I wanted to keep it simple.
....and I wanted to point out that once you point out that when you remove divine as a motivator morality isn't simple or even rational.
Also you never answered my question.
Yes there certainly is a rational foundation for morality. Let's start with the easy ones.
Murder is Bad. Why? Because it's against Human Life. Theft is Bad. Why? Because it's against Human Progress, which makes Human Life harder.
Why should I care about human life and human progress as long as my own life and progress are doing well?
You can't solve the tragedy of the commons with arm chair philosophy.
I disagree, FF 1 thru 7 and still classics, it is when they changed and "innovated" that they went downhill.
FF8 was an awesome game. The level of difficulty just placed it our of the casual players reach.
FF11 and FF14 never seemed like they were FF games in the first place, so they didn't tarnish my perception of the brand, at least as far as I'm aware. On the other hand, FFX, FFX-2, FF12, and FF13...
Hey now FFX was a good game and I'm pretty sure the sequel was just some lame fan fiction that people mistook for a real release.
Yes, so we can text during class, and send each other answers during the tests. Seriously, there is no reason a young child needs a cellphone at school. Land lines are (still) available in every office for emergencies, changes in plans for after school, etc.
What about out of school? When they're walking to/from school? When they're with friends, on a weekend? No, they don't *need* it, but that's not the point, nobody in the developed world *needs* a mobile phone, since there are payphones and landlines.
What's a payphone?
THERE ARE FOUR CORES!
I don't know how you could be so mistaken.
Are you sure? I don't know Scotty's back story.
Scotty was the chosen one foretold in prophesy.
