I have an 11 year old and he does not have a phone. However one main difference between my youth and now was that every family in the 80s and 90s had a land line. I could call my friends to see if they were home or make plans. Now the land line is all but extinct in most households with children. I have to coordinate with my son's friend's parents.

It will still be a few years before I get him his own phone but I have let him take my personal cell a few times so he could call my work cell if there was an emergency.

Well - with Polaroid a purchase of a camera usually results in the purchase of replacement film that keep a stream of revenue coming back. So their bet was that most customers would use the camera and be loyal to the brand for years to come.

TWA is also getting publicity out of this deal. I am sure Polaroid and TWA shared the cost of the discounted tickets since both would stand to benefit from increased market share.

Regardless of the current political landscape, a majority of Americans do support gay marriage and also abortion rights. The far right politicians have made those platforms their main talking points to ensure the far right segment of society show up at the polls. About half of republican voters agree with their extreme wing while the other half vote because they aren't the Democrat candidate.

I recently had to deal with identity theft. I created an account on all 3 credit agencies so that I could freeze everything. Experien tried to upsell me on services on a weekly basis. I get plenty of email spam from them even though I asked not to receive emails. Not sure how a fraud company such as experien has so much responsibility.

Sorry - maybe that was true 20 years ago when internet connectivity was a novelty (and an extra dongle) for consoles and network protocol for PCs was riddled with issues.

I haven't had a PC issue in a long time. Diablo 4 was crashing but a couple additional case fans solved that issue. I also only spend about $500 every 4-5 years upgrading my current PC. That's seems to be in line with the next generation consoles.

Consoles are easier in that it is simply plug in play but my preference is PC for everything except social gaming with friends or family on the couch next to me.
