Why don't we try to strengthen laws for individuals....and make things easier for people to self employ, self incorporate and contract themselves.
Because collectivism is what keeps politicians in power. Empowered individuals don't need some pandering politician to pretend to solve their problems, hence politicians will not allow the individual to become empowered and thus lose their stranglehold on power. Democrats come straight out and advocate socialist policies, but Republicans lie and claim to favor individual rights while working against the individual behind our backs.
Also, if your company wants to hire "top 5% talent" then you need to be a top 5% employer. Top talent does not want to piss away their career in the IT department of Bank of America, for instance. If you're trying to hire top talent but are an average company, then you are the equivalent of an old fat bald dude trying to date young supermodels. It ONLY works if there's a lot of money involved.
Seriously, has there EVER been an ERP implementation that was anything other than a colossal fuckup? Way behind schedule, overbudget, and not functioning properly are the general themes of ERP. And businesses continue to fall for this scam.
And you were found not guilty, and then sued for false arrest? No? Because the entire thing is bullshit.
Americans would rather suck dick at a truck stop than work for FoxCon
Its a private business; you don't have to go there and they don't have to serve you. Boo hoo, life is unfair.
The United States has done more for world peace than just about any other country. Stopping Fascism/Communism/Stalinism just to name a few. Whatever country you are from was likely taken over by the Germans during WWII and you would be saluting His Greatness to this day if Americans hadn't intervened.
I have never seen such a long comment with so little useful information (except maybe a GNAA post). Other than trying to make yourself feel smart, why did you waste time posting this crap?
Nobody in Pakistani government is a peace activist. They oppose all military activities targeted at the terrorists their country harbors and supports, but they have no problem with the Taliban operating in their country. Supporting peace and supporting the Taliban at the same time is not logically possible.
For an analogy, imagine Ron Paul was detained a few hours in Lahore over his views on cutting Defense spending...
Then he would still be over there. Pakistan has a far far worse human rights record than the US, despite UN assertions to the contrary
In which country do you have more free speech rights than the US? ALL customs operations all over the world work exactly the same: you have no rights at the border.
While some agents appear more polite than others, they can ALL detain someone for any or no reason without any real recourse.
Rent-a-cop on a power trip = $$$ (for you). They have no police powers, and really no more authority than the average person. If a mall security clown really abuses you, contact the lawyer you see advertized on a bus stop bench. For no fee up front, they will sue the mall and no doubt squeeze out a settlement. Rent-a-cop will then be lucky to get a job scrubbing toilets.
Everyone would win with that plan except the parasitic public employee unions and the politicians who the unions own. For this reason, it could never happen.
Get the unions out of education and quality will be guaranteed to improve.
The only reason I've ever wanted to smoke is to piss off the extremely intolerant anti-smokers; the ones who think they'll get lung cancer just because they smell a quick whiff of someone's cigarette smoke while walking down the sidewalk or something. Secondhand smoke doesn't quite work like that.
