RHEL has this myopically mistaken assumption that Centos and their ilk are "stealing sales" — this is 1800's mercantilism at its finest.
The reality is these are not sales they'd get. If they truly succeeded in their effort, I'd be shocked if it gained them even ONE new sale.
People using these distros will just go elsewhere if they are forced to do so.
I prefer RHEL style, but if forced, I'd suck it up and use ubuntu. It isn't as good IMHO, but it's "good enough".
Really all I want is the tooling, not binary compatibility. So maybe if we just got some of the more enterprise type things in RHEL into something else "rhel-like" then that's sufficient enough.
I don't want to spark a holy war, so I will resist giving examples.
Only in small/ bespoke installations.
RHEL type installations dominate when at scale.
And frankly, after using both since their inceptions and before, I'd much rather use RHEL-type any day.

They've run it at the UofU and are now building a larger reactor in Utah.
Know this: trademarks are scoped to specific industries.
Presumably, "50 cent" has the trademark as a musician in the music industry.
So a cashier saying 50 cents is not violating such trademark.
You have to file a trademark
Corrected headline using BS stats, but likely more accurate.
Or how did the whole "no code" thing turn out?
Sorry. AI isn't the panacea of all things. This guy just made a click-bait article.
AI cannot "create" it can "generate" and this is a significant difference. It can only generate based on what it's trained to do. But if you want something that hasn't been done before, you need a human to work that out.
AI can be a good "thumbnail" thing to start finding new options that may be already within the pattern but just not seen by the human eye.
AI can help resolve things that humans have already setup.
AI simply struggles with true innovation.
Plus, you still need humans to fix the final version of the crap AI churns out.
Programming is and will continue to be a strong valuable career path.
What's effected by AI in the programming field is the bottom of the rankings. The same as in writing, art, etc. AI can help w/the bottom of the crap that people churn out, and then somebody with actual skill has to make it better.
Expecting the customer to cover an extra cost just because you want more $$ is completely misaligned. If you want more wages, stop looking for tips as a way to get it! Go to your employer and get a raise! Make yourself invaluable!
The original point of a tip was for service ABOVE AND BEYOND doing what you are paid to do.
You don't get a tip for just doing your job!
Umm. Aren't all "diesel" trains are Diesel electric? Trains don't ever run directly off the diesel engine. It doesn't have enough torque.
Somebody is in a porn-infused ego-centric world.
Consider that perhaps not everybody does things the same as you.
I expect that after this change the impact will be largely
Move along.
This is called "ableism." You sound like a person outside of the situation trying to dictate or tell somebody within the situation how to deal with it.
Consider your same explanation, except for somebody who is blind: Just try rationalizing away and dealing with your blindness, you don't need special concessions or even tools.
not false narrative.
My startup is still scrambling. If we can't get that $250k, we won't make payroll.
I have a friend who's startup just closed shop, told everybody they don't know if they'll have a job next week.
This is a real problem.
The heart of the problem, however, should be placed at the hands of the VCs who yelled "fire" in a crowded theater.
Like SVB's tactics or not, they had a plan, and it was viable.
You could also argue that they were undercut by the Fed itself, who shouldn't be competing with banks, but that's a side-bar.
I'd just like to see the likes of Peter Thiel get fined—maybe enough to cover the gap in assets necessary to help SVB make its depositors whole.
Why give us speed in seconds? Nobody does that.
Yet they can give the human analogy of a pool.
Boggle.
The article said they DID pay for home internet.
