Explain New Zealand then? Our dollar is weaker, and we earn less than the average Australian household. And we're not just talking about retail, where you could explain away the difference as the cost of transport of physical goods to a small island country, we're also talking about Steam/Digital prices. Steam lumps us into the same region with Australia, by virtue of geographical proximity alone.

Secondly, can you explain why, with only a 20% difference between the average Australian and the average American household, rip-offs like these exist? Is it really fair that publishers are setting prices for Australia/New Zealand up to 80% higher than for America/UK?

I'm here too, also don't get it. The alternative which is used in the UK, if you didn't know (and mentioned above) is something called a "producer" where you have to show up at a police station within 24 hours with your licence.

Perhaps it's to milk drivers for even more money than they get from the stealth speed cameras, or perhaps it's a canny way to reduce the paperwork overhead that the "producer" system would entail.

If we have teleportation, then it doesn't make sense to have border at all.It would simply destroy this old concept, as people (and things) could freely move in and out without any sorts of control.

Congratulations, that is the most naive thing I've ever read; that it's been modded "Insightful" is +5 Meta-Funny. In theory, you're right, it doesn't make sense; in practice, "it doesn't make sense" has about as much to do with international politics as my left butt-cheek.

Well, currently, we have a bit of warfare (but frankly, not much) and a total slavery (open your eyes), and very few are complaining.

Ah, sorry...didn't see the tinfoil hat.

Working from home is nigh on impossible unless you have a door to close.

I get by just fine without a door. You can put your headphones on and tune out the rest of the world.

I find it difficult sometimes even with a door. I guess it's an extra barrier to interruptions, but it doesn't stop them. Unless I got a lock on the door or a divorce, I don't know how I'd change that. Regardless, I find I still have fewer interruptions and distractions than when I worked in an office.

Nah, there's lots of scope. Instead of two simple bars, you have two 3d-rendered "bats", held by 3d-rendered "people". Instead of a plain black background, you have a blue or green "table" with white markings on all 4 sides to accentuate the edges and one thinner line down the centre of the "table" dividing each player's play area either side of a realistic looking 3-dimensional "net" into 2. Also, instead of a box moving back-and-forth, you could have a 3d-rendered white "ball". Something like this maybe?

Exactly, if you're one of the sem-finalists, put in all the work to produce a playable demo and a trailer but fail get through to the final, Atari owns everything you've submitted and you get nothing.

If you are "lucky" enough to be one of the 10 finallists, go on to develop your idea into a full game, and don't win one of the top 3 prizes, you only get $5000 and Atari still own everything you've submitted.

You'd have to be either desperate or stupid to enter.

Sorry, but are you saying that the meat industry isn't "organised slaughter" and that hunting season is? I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the cows, sheep, lambs, pigs etc. don't just happen to wander into the slaughter-house and drop dead of natural causes. People wandering around in the woods shooting at wild animals seems incredibly disorganised compared to raising tame animals for the sole purpose of them being killed for meat in large, purpose-built abbatoirs, then packing the meat and shipping it out to country-wide and international markets...
