I liked the movie. sure, there were problems. But you get an appreciation for it after watching Star Wars episode I.
Suddenly, Lost in Space doesn't seem so bad...
But but but Silicon Graphics is dead. Dead and buried. You can't remake Lost In Space without SG workstations peppered here and there. What's next L.I.S with Windows 10 or IOS ? Shit.
Atari has been dead and buried for a long time, but the name still lives on.
Why not Silicon Graphics?
I thought that was what their little Motorola adventure was about
It was more about buying the patents that Motorola owned.
Orion and Dragon have different design parameters..
Space X will likely already be flying a "deep space" Dragon long before Orion sees an orbital launch.
macs at sun? when was that?
Right after Apple switched from PPC to Intel. There was so much demand for Mac laptops that IT spun up a program to provide them internally.
Huh? I also worked at Sun. In our division, 90% or more of us used Linux.
You're the few. Even the Solaris team used Macs running Solaris x86.
I guess we know why Sun failed on the desktop, now.
SGI took over the desktop?
For how long in a given month before T-Mobile cuts you back to EDGE and its 0.05 Mbps dial-up-class speed?
Never. I barely use 500MB per month. Maps, email and web don't really require a lot of data.
And do you really want to see the list of Macs still being sold and/or still in common use that do have a Terrestrial Ethernet port? I assure you, it is a LOT more models than your measly little list.
Incorrect
Around 2/3 of all Macs sold are the laptops listed above.
Otherwise known as, "the majority of Macs sold."
Most Macs still have built-in Ethernet connectors...
yes indeed we live in a time when nothing ever changes, nobody does anything
I don't know what fantasy world you live in, but in the real world, very little changes. Even brand new housing developments have nothing for EV.
But why would I go to my local gas station in the middle of suburbia to charge my vehicle when I can just charge it at home?
Because "home" is an apartment or condo and there are no charging stations in the parking lot.
At least that is my hope. The concept of car ownership is archaic. I look forward to the offloading all the associated penalty costs of car ownership in favour of a service model.
You mean like Zip car?
