This is the same bunch that can't be arsed to set up a unified coast guard. But they are all OVER climate pledges.

These are the same foresightful leaders *astonished* that one developed country might invade another in the 21st century. Shocking!

Please, let me know how trucks, tanks, ships, and planes are going to work without petrofuels, without invoking a magical tech advance that hasn't happened yet.
I'll wait.

The answer is simple: money. We can get rid of petrofuels immediately. The only problems are: it will cost A LOT and/or will be inconvenient A LOT.

It's almost like you could include a hidden cost of polluting into the cost of petrofuels.

To do what? Keep the Russians from grabbing Ukrainian wheat fields.

I'll give you few reasons from US perspective (and ignoring moral view):
1. To promote US military equipment. Poland alone will buy US stuff for couple billions. And waiting list for F35 keeps growing.
2. To scare China away from taking Taiwan. Taking Taiwan is bad for US because that's the place where CPUs are born.
3. To stop proliferation of nuclear weapons. Ukraine gave away nuclear ballistic rockets in exchange of security guarantees from UK, USA and Russia (sic!). I don't think Russia would invade Ukraine should this was not the case. Should Ukraine fall every single small and big country will scramble to build nuclear arsenal. That includes friendly (Japan, South Korea), not so friendly (Saudi Arabia) and not friendly at all (Iran) countries.
4. High income countries consume more US products (phones, cars, Netflix, music, games, McDonald's) than low income. Occupied countries have usually low income.

Password: Capital city of France plus the square root of 144.

ChatGPT solves this quite easily:

The capital city of France is Paris. The square root of 144 is 12. Therefore, the answer to your question is Paris plus 12, which can be written as "Paris + 12" or "Paris + 144."

I doubt MS, who owns the code ChatGPT uses, will have much difficulty figuring out any password scheme included in the email with the file.

I (as a human) would solve it as "Paris12" not "Paris + 12".

This technology attempts to solve a problem that has been long solved.

You buy a gun safe. You place the firearms in it. You lock it. Only you have the key.

You do not let people under the age of majority access the firearms except when you are present.

The only time I violated my "firearm handling procedure" was during the early lockdown days when some of the kooks were rumbling about taking over. So while working in the garage, I kept 1 rifle handy.

It has not been solved. Look at LockPickingLawyer videos about gun safes. They are NOT safe from teenagers. It also takes time to open them. As much as I think USA gun laws are crazy I also see this invention as something useful. Not perfect but close to perfect.
