You know what else? For a readership that is supposed to be somewhat intelligent, it's amazing to me how many people on slashdot
a) jumped straight into "I'm scared" mode
b) believed the mainstream news (honestly, since when are we all that gullible?)
c) disputed the few experts on slashdot who knew what they were talking about.

Neither, since Shakespeares works are in the Public domain and we don't have an infinite amount of time.

However, Dan Browns novels will take a dozen monkeys about two weeks, so I think you might be on to something there.

In the 21st century, I feel it is unlikely that we'll see major western governments engaging in systematic abuse of human rights such as we saw in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
