This is false, several Canadians were refused at the border, despite giving them their smartphones and passwords. Source in french: La Presse

The only reason I have a Pebble Time Round is to be able to quickly glance at my wrist to know if it's worth it to take out my phone.

It may seem like a useless luxury but on busy 15+ hours work days where I have to use walkie-talkie and receive emails, sms, and calls practically every 4-5 minutes while trying to decrypt people's complaints in the walkie, it does make my job slightly easier.

I understand that few people have a need for it. It's basically just a 'phone notifications on your wrist' device.

They're a scummy company to say the least. They routinely call my company about our 'expiring SSL certificates', trying to make us renew with them, while pretending they issued our current certificates (which they obviously haven't).

They basically crawl the whole web looking for expiring certificates and call everyone, pretending to be the issuer.

Telling them to fuck off doesn't do anythying; they're still calling every time we have a certificate due to expire within a few months.

Oh and they're the only ones willing to provide a cert for TPB.

The real reason is probably because they are cheaper, and because with a lot of providers you pretty much don't have a choice. My girlfriend needed a new phone. Her choices were either an iPhone (most expensive), several different android devices (from free with a contract to almost as expensive as an iPhone), or a blackberry. She didn't need a smartphone but ended up with an android (still stuck on 2.3).
