Yes glass is an ideal material for containers. Kids used to collect glass bottles for pocket change;  stores paid 2-6 cents for a soda bottle. Considering that a Hershey bar cost a nickle that was a great deal. You had to try really really hard to break a Nehi-orange bottle -- of-course that large soda cost $0.15 !

If the videos were legal to display, then how can they be illegal to read. What about my old copies of TBBOM and TTH  ? They were never illegal, but could the Feds interrogate me for reading them again ( for the first time in 15 years ) ? As a child I might have gotten in hot water for having a copy of Lady Chatterleys' Lover ... with my parents hot water.

You need health insurance. NEED !  You seem to have no idea what modern medicine costs. I just had major surgery with complications, and the costs were staggering. Six figures, till I was on-my-feet. Most people get sick or injured. Either go bankrupt or get high-deductible coverage. That's a fact. Yes, I do favor single-payer, even as a paleo.

Silly response I think , and I am a paleo!  An accused ( in his right mind ) needs  to associate with a lawyer before he associates with a COURT.  Workers without a RIGHT mind may square-off against a large company  employer ... and get slaughtered. Happens right now in all major USA industry. Yes there are exceptions which DO NOT make the rule.   Companies get the union they deserve.

Couldn't disagree less with this post. BUT! Yet another perfectly respectable over-the-top post from the liberal side . With a rating of zero (0). Such a rating is an embarrassment to /.  and dis-service to readers ! Literary styles come-and-go, but  even the Hittites appreciated humor. Not /. MODs.

Practically everybody who can do math does do math. That's about 13% ( Formal Operations ) of the adult population. Notice I said DO  math, not USE math. Check-out girls USE math every time they make change. But, they could not design the building they work in. CS uses  peculiar  maths-scripts.  Some linguist on /. can tell us whether programming languages are more like a "real" language  than calculus proof. When I program in C/Fortran ( self-taught decades ago )  I treat it like writing poetry.

Since returning to post on slashdot I have looked hard at posts  getting a zero (0) score. Many do not deserve that rating and this one is a prime example. The poster gives a clear complete argument for his  rational economic position. What non-agendista MOD would ever rate this post/poster zero when so much trash ( much liberal ) is rated 2/3/4 !  I am unhappy with this faulty MOD system ... it needs a revamp.

Sorry ... the mechanical-Turk never became aware. Proteins are much more complex than any platinum structure you can build or imagine. A  4-D lattice of different proteins ( neuron ) and associated messengers will show an incalculable state-space.  A very small number of those spaces will be ... aware.

Because true  social  information may  among rational people indeed cause a  political panic;  that upheaval may destroys a  corrupt and unresponsive government. Big benefit small risk, unless you are pimping-the-ride for the corrupt and unresponsive.

Yep. The able disciplined and visionary  out-produce the disabled , drug-addled and just plain stupid;  always have always will. Choke on it Bosco, pimping a dystopian Bwandaland future  if you can't deal with human historical facts.
