I can attest to this. I have two windows based computers here on my desk that are pretty much can't be upgraded or repaired. One is a low end laptop is glued shut that opening it would destroy the internal workings.
The other is a intel NUC. All the components are perm. attached to the mother board but memory and the m.2 module. It maxes out at 16 GB just like the M1 Macs do.

He is just the front man and his handlers behind the scenes are the ones doing all the work. The problem with that is the handlers don't know what they are doing. They are making policy purely on popular option and identity politics. Not thinking anything through about what the consequences are going to be. Because of the incompetence of the Biden administration we have a large humanitarian crises along our southern boarder. As much of a buffoon that Trump was he was spot on about this. He said this would happen and that is exactly what happened.

Normally, you are correct. But the problem here is they are not hiring good people. They are playing identity politics and bringing people that have no clue what they are doing. The second problem is Biden is such a fool that he can't delegate correctly.

Wrong. The current boarder crises is because the current administration dismantled all the policies that the previous administration put in place in one day. The system that Trump put in place was a good one and it was the correct way to handle it. The "kids in cages" started under Obama and Biden, it was Trump that put an end to it. Now that Biden is back in charge we have more "kids in cages." That is a fucking fact so deal with it. The current crises is 100% fault of the current administrations incompantance.
Funny how Trump is accused of being racist when Biden says and does things that are directly racist, liberals just ignore it like CNN. Barely anyone understands the fact that Biden was directly responsible for the crime bill that likely put hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of minority people in jail - some for life. For non-violent crimes. That is probably the 1 single "greatest" achievement Biden made in his political career, and it is one of the WORST for the people of this country. Trump was the first president to actually come along and change that with the First Step Act in 2018. That is just one item. Trump did a lot of good, regardless of those with TDS say here.
Trump had his moments. They just don't want to admit that. The problem with Trump is he just didn't know when to stop running his mouth. I call him Buffoon because in public he acted like one.
The really sad part is there where a lot of good candidates out there and the democratic party went with the worst of the lot.

Looks like, not only is Slashdot allowing the mod system to be abused they are deleting posts that are critical of the system.
No, this actually makes sense. Think about it. The average house hold only uses so much water a month. Lets just say 1500 gallons for sake of argument. Double that and set that at the low limit of the price, with low fixed price per gallon. That 3,000 gallon per month is low end cap. Most houses will never use more than that per month.
After that rate you start setting tiers where the water per gallon based on usage gets more expensive. That way the "poor" will still have access to cheap water while the wealthy hotel will need to pay more per gallon that it "wastes" in a fountain.

This comes back to quality of the cable. Use cheap cables, get cheap results. USB-C has several advantages over USB-A For charging the fact that it doesn't matter which way you plug it in can't be over expressed.
