First, that is not quite what I wrote. I think you missed the point. Second, that has little to do with the Department of Education. Tell me: when have you seen a proposal to remove "gun free zones" around schools? When EVERY school shooting that has taken place in recent years, took place in a "gun free zone"? That is an in-your-face illustration of how such restrictive laws hurt only the law-abiding citizens. Someone who is planning to shoot someone else (in other words, a criminal) doesn't give a damn about the gun free zones. So what do they accomplish? So far, absolutely nothing.

My remark was specifically about the hypocrisy of the Department of Education, endorsing things like "gun-free zones" while at the same time, it has a definite specification for, and appears to be stockpiling, assault-style shotguns. (Apologies for the use of "assault" in that sentence, as I am aware that technically it is a meaningless distinction. But it does give someone a very rough idea of what kind of firearms they were buying.)

I have very little tolerance for hypocrites. Especially hypocrites of this caliber.

Please read Matthew 19, the first 12 verses. Jesus was quoted as saying that marriage was instituted in the Garden of Eden and was between one man and one woman. Between that time and ~30-33 C.E. the definition of marriage changed to include man and wife/wives by man.

Looks to me like Matthew was trying to "redefine traditional marriage!"

Basically yes, Jesus did. A more accurate statement would be "Jesus defined Christian Marriage as the same as the original marriage found in Genesis 2:24."

I think if you are worried about the efficiency of their solution you ought to explain complexity/order notation, and then apply it to a some practical data structures, like arrays or hash maps. Even more awesome if you get them to do some time measurements in easy language X so to demonstrate the effect of complexity. At crunch time, if they can judge the design trade-offs of their model&implementation, then that will eclipse any speed benefits of a compiled language. Good luck!

There's also Apple Remote Desktop. Here's a very interesting blog from someone who works at Microsoft's Macintosh Lab - used for testing MS products on Macs.

They manage the Macs using KVM switch boxes and Apple Remote Desktop.

The screen shot of ARD displaying 50 machines at the same time on an Apple 30 inch display is way up there in the coolness factor!

You can use the same waste heat to run the heat pump in the summer for air conditioning.

Now how would that work? Airco working directly on waste heat? That would be fantastic as then you can use the heat from the sun to run your airco. I have never heard of a heat pump that can be powered directly by heat and heat alone.
