Oh no! Monty Python's Mechanical Penguin has come to life! There is only one defence...quick, fetch the Holy Handgrenade of Antioch! Only then can Scott of the Sahara save the day!
True.
Are not CANDU reactors this type of reactor?
Looks like Broadcom will pull a Novell...Netware literally owned the market for LAN networking, then blew it. Broadcom has, or will soon own VMware, which like Netware has the largest market share in their sector. If they change over to a subscription model, the long time established users of this type of software will no longer be looking at the cost periodic upgrades, but will be "hemorrhaging" money every month, and will not be able to schedule investments when it is best for them, not best for when Broadcom needs another infusion of cash. This will certainly drive companies to other technologies, most of which are free and open source based...
From his early days, his music worked well with images. Some of my favourite works of his are Albedo 0.39, Heaven and Hell, Soil Festivities, Blade Runner (of course!), and many others. I picked upon his music in the late 1970s, and have been a fan ever since, up to, and including his last release, JUNO to JUPITER. His passing is a sad day, but we should celebrate the wonderful music that he gave us over the years.

Seymour Papert specifically designed LOGO for visual learning. It makes it easy for you to see when you type a command, something visual happens on the screen. I've taught LOGO to 5 year old kids, and 80 year old seniors, and it makes it much easier for them to grasp some of the basic fundamentals of programming.
The announcement & launch of a new video card is like a weather report on Mars. Sounds interesting, but has no practical use in the new few years...
We have all seen the ads where they asked for 10 years of experience on a software that has only existed for 5 years...and wanting a university degree for entry level jobs. It has gotten to the point where you practically have to lie on your resume to met there criteria, or not apply because lying offends your ethics.
What I think is that this initiative from Microsoft is really just an attempt to prime the pump to flood IT with "qualified" people and keep IT pay low.
Sounds like an "astroturf" campaign to me...
Of course, it is good for business! Think of all the money they make when they retroactively demonetize a video, before they pay the content creator, and thus keep all the ad revenue that had accumulated on that video.
A FLIR SkyRanger R60 Multi-roter UAV flown by the RCMP collided with an RCMP Helicopter last year (2020) in February. They are either flying these UAVs beyond their line of sight, or the SkyRanger R60 is really a two operator (one to fly, one to monitor the FLIR) UAV, but they only had one person do both.
